With a 100,000+ Euros bid for Healy, who will be good, and Behan IOR have backed the club more than ever, more than in 2005 post play offs.

Behan is a 1 in 4 gals per game striker and at 14 stone+ he is hardly going to have massive pace. Jon Daly mark 2 I think, but quite as tall. As ever I remain unconvinced by big target men as our dear club has done better with smaller more skilfull strikers. However, Turner or whoever has received the most backing in our history this summer. The doro is now clsoed on Bolland - which is fair enough, if Healy stays fit he will be an astute replacement sitting in front of the back 4.
Never mind a left back - my worry is the lack of pace at centre rarf! Try Liddle in there pre-season rather than Clark & collins together and put Hartley at left back.

Who says it is a 100,000+ Euro bid?

Echo reckons the first bid was a 100k euro which was declined.

1 in 4 gals per game, cracking strike rate if only 3 gals turn him down every 360 minutes.

Does he score goals though

Agreed with Mouldy. We could be paying over the odds for players from English leagues or taking on has beens who are only after a last pay-day. I'm excited by these signings. Well done Pools

Aye, IOR certainly like to back Turner so fair play to them.

Judging by the Corks managers comments that Healy would be in the Premier league if he never got injured and running the National side then it sounds like we have a very good player on our hands clappp

Is Healy likely to sign?

He would be a good singing but ill only believe it when he is on the official site. Im still expecting it to be highjacked by some other team.

Also I was talking to a Cork City supporter and he is expecting them to fold in a couple of weeks due to the financial difficulties they are in. Does this mean we could be paying for players that could be fee agents in a couple of weeks?

Maybe it's good business sense then, get in now when other teams will be put off by paying money.

I still think Leeds or maybe even Ipswich will come in for him

It could be yea get them for a cheap price and make sure they ours. Would he go to Ipswhich with Keane been in charge? I dont know much about the background with them two but if someone cost me the chance to play in the World Cup finals I wouldnt want to play for them.

But playing in the championship would be a massive draw, especially with him wanting international football again.

I'm not holding out much hope but if we get him it will be one of the best signings we've ever made. At least on par with Gordon Watson

If he's been at Cork for three years why should everyone else suddenly want him? Clearly Cork announced their acceptance of the offer to alert other clubs. The offer of money for two players hopefully obscures how much Healy is worth. Hopefully Chris/Russ can seal the deal today.
