I think you're all describing the type of people you EXPECT to see in there. In reality it's no better or worse than most local pubs. There are a good number of loyal Poolies that drink in there.
But if it's not for you then it's not for you. Simple.

Is this the same White House thats the Blacksmiths at the bottom of the brewery bank. Last time I saw it (six weeks ago) it was boarded up. Was there a renovation going on or summat.

Nope the White House is on the Wooler Road/Grange Road roundabout. I think the Blackies had a fire a while back but it is open now

I've definitely not been in there this year (hardly been out since the boy was born!) and probably called in for a "quickie" when passing about 5 times in the two years before that!
