To enter the USA you do not need a visa. Your passport however much be machine readable.

Thanks for that. We're going in the summer (to LA) and while I'll have to remew my passport as it's about to expire, the Ms didn't think she'd need to!

Our lass has had to send off for another passport cos of us getting married....AND IT STILL HAD 7 YEARS TO RUN!!!! :evil:

That is what they gave me when I had to get a machine readable one to go to Florida with and I still had 3 or 4 years left on mine

She's kept her maiden name, but I've never checked if marital status is on the passport?
