Just been talking to me mate from hull and he said they have had two offers for his services, not sure if we are one of the clubs.

I've got this sneaky feeling that we've got half a chance of getting even though everyone has said otherwise. He wants to play for us, he says he doesn't want to play for Hull Reserves, a few clubs want him but he's already settled here...

Maybe I'm clutching at straws.

It'd be a big gamble.
Presuming we have to break the wage structure to get him, how will the squad react?

Depends what his wages actually are.
There have been a number of figures quoted (£2k -> £4k)

If the squad can tolerate Scotties signings, who are allegedly on £2k / £3k
I can't see a problem

None of us know, who earns what, it's all chinese whispers.
I can't see Hull having to offer him £4k, to tempt him from Falkirk, so I reckon he is in our range.

Depends how much of the £250k, Hull want to recoup

Anyone know what happens, with loan signings.
Who pays their wages ?
Do the club who get the players, pay all or part of their wages ?
If it's all (which I doubt), then we've been paying Duffy and Monkhouse's during their respective loan periuods !

So we've got Trigger coming back onto the books and will have to shell out whatever proportion of his wage Rochdale have been paying.
We've got Barker joining, at whatever his wedge is.
(and hopefully Monkhouse)

Strachan's gone, albeit only for a month, so part of his wages have been freed up.

Are we going to run into wage capping problems again, preventing us from affording Duffy

Depends how much IOR put in at the beginning of the season to allow Liddle etc to be signed. I would imagine they foresaw this period coming and allowed for it. He said with fingers firmly crossed.
