It say's that if he joins us before the 1st August we have to pay a transfer fee of $80,000 which seems a lot of money for the sake of waiting 3 weeks.

Seems a little premature to announce the name of a player we are after on the site, when the deal hasn't been finalised.

Hope it's a good signing - at least shows the club is making an effort this season.

Can anyone ever remember the official site claiming that a signing is imminent and actually naming him when it hasn't already gone through sctatchinghead I can only think the contract is signed subject to international clearance.

Probs the first time i've ever seen pools comment on a non completed transfer, normally the official company line is they don't comment on any speculation or announce anything until it's a done deal.

So i reckon it's a done deal then.

Im a bit concerned when we sign a player whose only description is 'energetic'. If CT just missed off any of the following words by mistake then he should be a good signing - pacey, tricky, skilful, prolific goalscorer, intelligent etc etc.

What are you rolling your eyes at???

Matty Robson was 'energetic' but he was also a headless chicken. Im not writing the new lad off before anyone says it but it is hardly a glowing complement to be merely labelled energetic is it.

How many games a season do they play in Norway? He's played 145 games in 6 seasons, not many, unless they only play around 30 games.

A weird google translation:

Fredriksen was taken to Sarpsborg 08 before the 2009-season. During the winter has passed, kantspilleren has shown up a venstrefot few can match. Fredriksen has seven seasons behind them in Moss, but now it happens to play in the blåhvite suit that comes. We have talked to advise the boy.

Name: Jon André Fredriksen
Born: 05.04.1982
Country: Norway
Heading: Kant
Former clubs: Council, Moss

Jon André Fredriksen has for years characterized 1. division with its precise Dødball and look great. Kantspilleren described by many as a technical and fast player with målteft. In 2005, started his real opptur as actress. The time speed train scored seven goals, in addition to producing five målgivende pasning in the gulsorte suit.

Tippeligaspill
No football moss inger forget Fredriksen. Of many MFK-trailers are the best technical player regarded as a hero. In 2004, the year before he really got through, put the boy in fact prevail in the end of the home match against Shamrock goal that secured the game in 1. division for Moss. His achievements in the years that followed helped to make Fredriksen to one of Moss' most important players. Total had Sarpsborg 08s new edge plays a årssnitt at 11-12 målpoeng. Jon André has also been visited Eliteserien with Moss, and hope to repeat the company.

- I have a primary goal - the game in Eliteserien, says Jon André particular.

Accepted venstreben
The left-legged kantspilleren has during the winter shown evidence of their very good overview. Fredriksen is also able to get in the end position, and has also its own ability to serve their teammates delightful pasning. There are of course expectations to such a player from the audience. Even Fredriksen describes their skills in the following way:

- Personally, I believe that my left leg is of a good caliber. In addition, I have a great look, and good speed. My greatest weakness is the head game, "he comments.

Should be to fight
Jon André has been through many ups and downs as a footballer. In the last year in Moss was difficult, and sympathetic man has previously stated that he is looking forward hugely to play in Sarpsborg 08. After the whole seven seasons in Moss, was a safety switch in its place for kantspilleren. Now Fredriksen has faith in oppturer in 2009-season.

- I am absolutely convinced that we will surprise many this year. We will be to fight about kvalikk, "says a satisfied Fredriksen.

We thank you for the chat, and wish Jon André luck in Sarpsborg 08. Finally comes some of the best memories and Fredriksens favorites.

Favorite: Manchester United
Favorite Player: Ryan Giggs
Best football memory: The crucial goal that rescued Moss from nedrykk in 2004.

Good to know his left leg is of good caliber! Sounds like a deal is imminent!

It's difficult to gauge the standard of the Norwegian Leagues. Sarpsborg 08 are not a particularly good team and play in front of about 700 fans.

Moss are a better team, almost making the top flight in 2005. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on. The one thing I've always noticed about Nog Football is they are usually very good in defence and not so good in attack.

I think Turner was at the wrong end of the pich!

But if the forwards are that bad do they just make the defenders look good?

Or vice versa?

I'm really concerned that he was as "actress" in 2005. I appreciate that he was also a time speed train but the idea of a fast gender swap Norweign down the left side may upset the balance of the side and possibly make people nervous in the pre kick off huddle!

As always finishing on a positive note at least he apparantly has "målteft" and produced "five målgivende pasning in the gulsorte suit".

Says it all really.

The Norwegian league only has 14 teams in the 'Tippeligaen' and 16 in the 1st Div, Moss spent one season in the top flight and 7 in the second level during his time there. over the 7 seasons he's played 145 games, averaging 20.7 games per year.

In related news he does have 232 Facebook friends!!

Good point.

The standard is not that hot to be honest. Rosenborg are half decent all the rest are much of a muchness in the top flight.

With the amount of Norweigian players there are rushing to sign for us, we'll have to declare Milton Keynes away as "Norway Day"!

Everybody'll have to wear Vikings helmets and bring Norweigian flags with them! rolfl

Yeah, I can't really remember that much from when I was between 6 and 10 years old.

But.....it doesn't mean that we couldn't do it again for these new signings!
