Was in Darlo working today and I thought I'd pop and have a look at Feethams (or what's left of it) as I had a few minutes. First time I'd been around to the cricket club side, and first of all, where the fook was there to park around the ground? Where did the team buses or ambulances go? It's quite obvious now why they had to leave there, the only way they could have redeveloped it would have been to buy the cricket ground and build over that.

Still it was a shame to see it in such a state, probably my second favourite ground after The Vic.

Anyway, later on I find out that plans have been tendered to build 169 houses and flats on the plot. How the fook are they gonna manage that? There'll be some traffic down that back alley!!

The alley was on a 'real crime' documentary a few months back as a headless torso was found in bin bags just outside where the away turn stiles entrance once stood

All vehicles used to enter down the track at the far side of the cricket ground (where the scorebox is). I've played cricket at Feethams quite a few times when the bucket rattlers have been at home, often an interesting experience when they find out Darlington CC are playing Hartlepool CC

I've had a shite in that back alley. A night game when me, micky 3 quid and someone else got there a bit late and they wouldn't let us in.
Dropped a right steamer then got ran off some of their lads

Tax payer fooked up our lift home after the last time we played at Feethams. There was 10 of us stood at the top of the alley for ages after all the pools fans had gone. We didn't stand out much............but then someone thought it would be a good idea to go back into town and have a drink

i recall me and smiggy and a couple of spraypaint cans decorating the alleyway and also 'allegedly' northern echo window.
