Guess that means the end of 2 Unlimited! Cheers for that you meddlesome swines, that's one thing that I thought was good about the matchday "experience", and has been a mainstay since I started going to the match. refred banghead

can't see what you've put but Snap "I've got the Power " has already been adopted as one of the APFC's official anthems (along with that gay one by Sir Cliff)

Exactly. Tom Hark was played at most other grounds but 2 Unlimited was unique to us and has been our run out music since the early 90's, the only run out music most of us under 30's will know.

Honestly, some of the old boys will be campaigning to have our name changed back to Hartlepools FC and for us to be running out to something by Perry Como...

It's part of the furniture, fades out on the "hey" parts to say "Good afternoon and welcome to Victoria Park..."

I remember when i was younger they used to have Camisra - Let me show you when we scored, which wasn't that often to be honest!

I'm with swifty like i've never known any other run out music at pools.

Thing is you'll never please everyone with everyone single person having such differing musical tastes.

I like both Tom Hark and 2 Unlimted - the latter is an absolute classic.

It would be sad to see them gone, especially 2 Unlimited, but hopefully we can find something just as good and more up-to-date.

That "I've got the power" is an iconic Eurodance classic- it reminds me of when I was growing up in the early 1990s....and also it's darts champion Phil Taylor's entrance music. clappp clappp clappp

Tom Hark and 2Unlimited are both f*cking crap and quite frankly embarrassing to hear - it's about time they got rid of them. Kasabian can sod off as well.

POK, instead of sending me pm's, stating that the current music has been played on the rare occasion you have made it up here, answer the question and then tell me how the hell it would affect you if the music changed.

Thornley, I still think telling you how many home games I've been to is irrelevant to what we're talking about here.

The problem is: Would people miss the songs because we've had them so long and become a part of the Club etc?

You admitting how many home games you attend tells everyone on here how changing the music would impact your life, therefore, your opinion (or anyone else's who doesn't attend home games) on run out/goal music means diddly squat to me, and plenty more on here i would imagine.

And my opinion is that Tom Hark needs to go, i dont mind hearing it before kick off and when we score, but to play it at the end when we have either played shiite/lost is an insult to the fans.

And although i made a suggestion regarding run out music, i couldn't care less if we didn't have any at all!

The big problem with the "run-out" is that now we don't get a run-out, they stroll out and line up facing the CK, then do the walk past and hand shaking thing like the premiership. I found myself waiting last year until they actually did all that before clapping.
No sure if it's used by anyone else (be surprised if not) but what about Blur, song 2, just the Woo Hoo bit for either the run out or a goal?

That's true. Since Football League Clubs started to copy international matches ran by FIFA and the Premier League, the run-out has lost any gusto or energy it had, by them running out, over to the fans, greeting them etc.

You can blame people like Michel Platini and Sepp Blatter for that.

That pre-match music at the Stadium of Shite was really good, so perhaps something in that vein like Flight of the Valkeries (or however its spelt) as previously suggested. I think thats a good idea. Uplifting and building to creshendo/ crecendo/ kreshendo /chresendou - really load bit.

The earliest run-out music that I can remember at pools when i was young, was in the 1984-85 season:- Opus - "Life is Life".

Listen Up.

Pools will be running out to the opening chords of Into the Valley, by Skids.

Well they would if they had any sense.

And I am loving the idea, they have thought up  , of playing different music for each player.

I wish we had thought of that, say, three years ago.

Anyway.........................It has to be the Rocky theme tune for Ben Clark, if the club had any balls.

Any others?

Sweeney and Browny are already sorted courtesy of Mr Stelling. Presumably McSweeney can also be the Sweeney. Adam Boyd - Adam & the Ants, Prince Charming. Austin - Six Million Dollar Man theme. Monkhouse - Golden Shot theme. Collins - Phil Collins, Sussudio. Alan Power - Youve got the Power, 2Unlimited...and thats all I can think of sctatchinghead

Rocky for Ben Clark would be brill as already suggested but not like he scores many anyway!

I hope the club dont announce before hand what themes are set for which players, will build a bit of suspense.
