A few years back, travelling through Seaton i noticed there were more ships than usual moored in the bay and decided to pull up and have a look, ships being an interest of mine. I had the youngest with me and as I got out of the car with my binoculars she asked if she could have the little pair so she could look too. Aw, how cute. We walked to the corner near the slipway at the bottom of Seaton Lane and I was checking each vessel out. I turned to her and asked her which ship she was looking at ..."Ships...? naw Dad, I've been watching these" as two coppers and two undertakers were carrying one of those metal coffins off the beach.... "It was an old woman Dad, will it be on the telly?" :shock

The best embarrasing moment occurred when son no1 was around 6 yrs old and we'd had a family trip to the planetarium on the top floor of the museum in Liverpool.

Throwing out time is 5:00pm and so at 4:45 we set off down the 8 flights of stairs through the various floors towards the exit.

As we passed each floor more people joined the descending crowd and everyone was shoulder to shoulder as we entered a gallery where the various statues of greek gods were located wearing only in a vine leaf over the goolies.

"Dad", says son no1 in a piercing voice rising above the general hum and pointing towards a well blessed vine leaf, "is that a condom"?

The crowd sniggered.

It wasn't a kid, it was a piglet.........
