But I bet Federer has a chance, despite Roddick's serve and net play, on Sunday.

She probably has a more interesting opinion on the state of British Tennis, even if she is busy running her charity.

Even if she did die in 1992.

I happened to check my old betfair account last night and noticed i still had a tenner deposited from years ago. I shoved it on Roddick so it made me a nice £30. First bet I have won in yonks!

My betting skills are still not a patch on Chips however.

I'm not a slave to the BBC.

I make my own judgements based on what I see only.

And what I saw during the match was Roddick playing very sneakily at the net to kill rallies off. Combined with that and his 110mph+ serve, and Roddick was in a league of his own.

Quite frankly, I hope he beats Federer in the final now.

I think Federer looks quite ordinary to be honest, although he has looked like that on many occasions and still won, but I think Roddick will win if his serving manages to cause Federer problems.

Yeh, it was really sneaky of him standing near the net, and having those easy little tap over shots to win the points wasn't it.

He's just read that somewhere, he doesn't even like tennis he just wants to look brainy and that he's into loads of stuff.

I've just read Borris Beckers blog on the bbc site...

It reads "what I saw during the match was Roddick playing very sneakily at the net to kill rallies off. Combined with that and his 110mph+ serve, Roddick was in a league of his own"

Funny that isn't it.

Federer looks ordinary, the greatest player of all time is ordinary glad you dont pick pools team also your opinion on any sporting matters can be taken with a pinch of salt.

But Federer is ordinary, I tell you, there aren't a lot of people that think he's the greatest player of all time, even though he's won Wimbledon six times.

Roddick looked more like a champion during that semi-final against Andy Murray.

I read in one national newspaper today about 6 sports people and former tennis legends all saying he IS the greatest tennis player of all time.

Was it 16 grand slams he has now won?

Federer's too "technical" for my liking. He always seems to come up with the right shot at the right time.

You talk so much tosh its untrue!!!!

Tennis as a Sport is classed as a skill and to be good at that skill you need to try different techniques, which is what Federer does very, very well, so much so that he's now won 15 grand slams says it all. The French Open was the only one he hadnt got until earlier this year which would have had people questionning whether he was the worlds greatest or not, He now has that in his impressive trophy cabinet, Now added with a Wimbledon title to make him a 15 time major winner.

Along the lines of your "right shot at the right time" arguement.... Does that mean Tiger Woods is too "technical" at Golf, because he always seems to come up with the right shot at the right time, Also on the big stages (Major Championships) ala Federer

But the thing is, aren't people supposed to feel excited when they think they see the greatest player of all time?

Because when I watch Federer, I don't feel excited.

Not once throughout the last two weeks and in the past did I feel as if he was the greatest player.

Its not about how he makes you feel, its about how many matches and titles he has won.

Surely to be considered a great player, you've got to be for a me at least a player that you were glad to watch, enjoyable and entertaining.

I don't think Federer is particularly entertaining.

Surely to be considered a great player, you've got to be for a me at least a player that you were glad to watch, enjoyable and entertaining.

I don't think Federer is particularly entertaining.

ok then who would you vote for Andy Murrey who has won sweet F.A but he makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, Federer has dominated the sport for the last 6 years. Bijorn Borg wasnt the most flamboyant player either as was known as the ice borg due to the fact he hardly showed any emotion, so it probably pays not to be jumping around like a looney etc.

Well, in my opinion, it should be going out there and giving the spectators something thrilling to watch.

That's what I would hope the 'Pools players do when they play for us: go out there trying to do their best to entertain us if nothing else.

Money should be just an added bonus from being a professional player.

I wouldnt give a toss if pools played crap every game and won it 1-0.
