......what would be your line up for first game?

-----------Flinders------------
Austin----Clark---Hartley---Humps
Brown---Boland---Sweeney---Monky
--------Lange-----Boyd--------

Cook
Collins
Rowell
Mcsweeney
Jones
Liddle
Mckay

For me Brown is more effective on right wing and also think him and Boyd too similar.

if lange is fit I am going to put a bet on him as top goalscorer in the division, wonder what odds he will be?

Can't see Boland or Lange being there

Liddle => LB
Humps => CMid
McSweeney => RMid
Brown => Upfront

He is still at the club and will be starting physical contact from 1st July I believe. Its clear by the fact that he has stayed here and not returned home that he would like to stay and no other clubs will probabaly take chance on him at moment. So if he proves his shoulder is good then looks pretty certain he will be here for the season.

In the physio's room for most of it, I reckon
If he stays he should be on a pay when you play deal.
Same applies to Boland

I'd argue in that first XI you've still got players out of positions, we should try and get away from that as much as possible.

Humphreys is not a left back and should not be used there, Brown is a more effective forward and should be used upfront, him and brown are similiar in a way they have skill but as strikers i think they are different and can play together, boyd more direct, brown coming deep and then running at defenders.

I am pretty certain that a left back will be signed along with maybe one or two other players. I think the left back will be rose from stockport but until all the mess stockport are in is sorted then it might not be able to happen until thats sorted out.
Hopefully a play making midfielder who will feed the strikers and then one other player and i think the squad wil be looking in very good way compared to the squad we started with last season.

Not sure if anybody else has posted it but on another forum there was a rumour of Rose signing very soon as apparently his contract expires with Stockport today.

That team looks about as good as we could get at the moment. I would say though that we need a creative midfielder in there and we should also be looking at a target man who can offer us something different if required. Brown and Boyd will both offer us a lot in terms of tricks and cleverness but they may prove to be a bit lightweight at times.So, if we could bring someone on to knock their centre-halves about a bit it would give us another option. Our centre back pairing also looks a bit slow and flat-footed to me - I still think we need a covering centre-half - similar to Chris Westwood....

We dont have a left back though so it would have to be someone out of position at the moment? sctatchinghead

The bookies wont list him at a guess so you will have to contact them and ask for a price. bet365 are good at this.

Austin and Hartley are both comfortable at left back and a damn sight better there than Humphreys who should be restored to the midfield.

Thought Austin was right back and Hartley just a centre back? Bonus if they can play there but im sure neither is the correct position so would still be someoen out of position??

Id rather have Tinkler back in than Humps in midfield.
