I've been compiling the '1000 Best Ever Singles' onto CD using the book 'Encyclopedia Of Singles' Published 1998!!!! :coool:

I've found some really good songs that I'd never heard before....and found quite a bit of shite aswell!!!! confised

I've left a few out....Xmas songs and any by Gary Glitter!!!! confised

For me there's not a bad song on there....apart from Phil Collins!!!! :evil:

If I had to pick my 3 favourites they would be....

Always On My Mind!!!! :coool:

Albatross!!!! :coool:

The one that has special memories though is Amazing Grace....me Mam has still got the album and it use to be blasted out of the Record Player when I was a kid....especially at New Year!!!! :coool:

what I find funny is that you said you have compiled it yet you say the only bad song is by phil collins, so my question is why put it on there if you think its a bad song.

Keep me up to date with the others as I might pinch a few off you as there is some I dont have on there

Apache and American Pie, both iconic (see, you've got me using that word now) songs/tunes of their time.

Amoureuse might have got in if it had been the Véronique Sanson version (i.e., the original), tho' I doubt it. I just wanted to show off my knowledge of French music.
