People have f****** short memories, don't they?
The country is slumbering towards a Tory landslide, and there seems no will to stop it.
Scares the shiit out of me tbh:
Kiss goodbye to your NHS and improving educational standards. Say hello to a new age of the privileged few getting it all, and bollocks to the majority of 'don't haves.'

When it happens, last one out turns the lights off. I'll be back over to France in a flash bbolt

There are two Hartlepool's, the one I grew up in with shite schools, lack of pre and after school support, no such thing as family tax credits, surestart, and minimum wage and the other one a great majority of this board appear to have grown up in

But don't worry, if Cameron gets in, bang goes family tax credits, surestart and NHS investment and lets not forget which party opposed the minimum wage

Go on, guess

It's certainly a fact that anyone in Hartlepool who votes Labour at the next election, regardless of who their representative is, wants their bumps felt. They've been lying to you since 1996. sctatchinghead

The smug damned bounders.

Why 1996?

'Cos that's when they published their manifesto which was festooned with deceit and deception. 'Of course we won't increase income tax.' Three minutes after they were elected they put 1% on ERS and have been taking the piss ever since.

I wish I knew what ERS was, but I doubt it isn't income tax, so therefore they didn't increase income tax

And of course no other party every takes the piss once they get in, do they!

Mind I'll give you this Kev, recessions under the Tories were much more noble, weren't they?

The NHS....? unless you've got a car, it's going to take a bit of time and money to get to a hospital ... under a Labour governemnt. All in the name of 'progress'.

Don't you ever look at your pay slip then?? Look under 'deductions.' Income tax and then ERS, used to be known as National Insurance. It's a Government payment supposedly to pay for pensions and NHS. They knew they were going to tax people more, they just did it through the back door, whilst firmly denying they would ever do so.

Of course all the Governments take the piss but this one takes the piss AND the bleedin' biscuit.

And as for NHS investment, where's the billions they poured into yet another failed IT scheme?? confised

The improved education standards is a good one, when A level pass rates have attained a percentage usually only seen in countries election turnouts where a despot is standing, it makes a mockery of previous pass rates. I suspect that the number of kids good enough to warrant the grades is the same as it's always been, the rest are all padding to justify the continued existence of all the former polytechnics elevated to university status.
