today the world is under serious threat from Michael Jackson obsessed odd ball fans, evert tv channel you have on will have freaks dressed in spangley suits and stupid hats talking as if there balls are in a vice.

People think the major threat to the world is Al Qaeda but there is a more sinister threat than them and its Michael Jackson/ Queen fans. When freddie died it was managed to keep the threat under control with only pocket groups of tash wearing leotard odd balls gathering but something like this could merg the two together and well that would be it.

You have all been warned, do not put the radio on today they will try and brain wash you with constant Jackson songs and a few Queen in there, we are all doomed

Speaking of tribute bands though, Gary Mullen the fella who won stars in their eyes as Freddie Mercury has been touring for years and near enough sells out at every gig he does.

I've been to see him myself and he is really good and sounds a lot like Freddie Mercury.

Search for him on YouTube if your interested!

Fair enough, I should know not to come on here stating the obvious!
I think what I'm trying to get at is that he's a lot better than your average tribute act, people go on stars in their eyes cos their mother thinks they sound like the person when in fact they don't sound like them much at all. Gary Mullen must have been one of the best on that show.

Not a patch on Hartlepool's finest FM tribute... Billy West!

Actually come to think of it, it's been a while since I've donned my leotard

now now billy is a poolie and often in the town end for games a good lad and his shows are a light hearted night and he does not take himself serious unlike some tribute acts.
we have seen some shite ones over the years magic, africa are ones that spring to mind.
one of the best tribute acts was steve steinman's meatloaf but nowadays he is becoming better known for vampires rock which is an excellent night out.

I wasn't saying anything bad about him. He is a good tribute act. I just said he sounds nothing like Freddie Mercury because Lord Smythe said Gary Mullen is not a patch on him. Mullen's act is sounding like Freddie Mercury which (in my opinion) he does very well. Billy West's act is completely different as he doesn't try to sound like him but still sings very well and is a brilliant entertainer.
We can't compare the two I don't think.

Billy was on the team bus for the Torquay weekend in September/October - ish 84, with me and Mr I's brother (who had hitch hiked all the way down but came back on the bus with us). It was a long time before he started doing his act, but fair play to the lad it takes a bit of bollocks to put yourself forward like that.
I'm just a loudmouthed gobshite - and I can still drown out the bloke holding the microphone!!!
