Tonight sees the annual running of the Beamish 10k (change of course so more likely to be 9k+/-)

The run incorporates a race between man and machine where runners try to beat an auld tram around one circuit of the museum stpid .... bring it on!... actually it's not as easy as it sounds.

Has it really been a year since you last did this? Well yes it is, as my search reveals below.

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=16520&hilit=Beamish

Lets see if you can improve on your finishing position and time, allowing for any difference in the distance of course.

This site is so professionally ran by Mr I that a search of the word 'Beamish' took no time at all.

Doesn't sound that hard! Does the pram have a bucked wheel or is it straight out of the Silver Cross shop?

in 40:23.

Only two lads managed to beat the pram/tram

You must be dead fat. I can't imagine a pram with a tram on top of it is too rapid.

I almost could have been stalking Smythe tonight, I was just down the road from Beamish, at the Riverside. But I was too busy watching Durham beat Yorkshire by 41 runs. clappp clappp

Waheyyyy just learnt today that I helped our 3 man team [Crook AC]
to first place in the team event at last night's Beamish Run....apparently
there's a bottle of bubbly somewhere at Beamish with my name on it.. Moet et Smythe.

Good win for the Dynamos last night BP

Well done on your team victory last night. clappp

I was a bit worried with the poor Durham score of 131. But when the Yorkies managed to get themselves to 4 for 3 in the first couple of overs it was all but over. I shouldn't laugh it might upset the Yorkshire supporting wife. rolfl
