2. Please Please Please change the Music when we score!!!! Tom Hark is getting very very tedious and cringeworthy and is used by lots of Clubs....can we not have our own tune???? sctatchinghead
I'm sure lot's have Fans have their own favourite songs that could be played....why not have a Poll on the official Site?!?!

That is all....Thanks!!!! :coool:

clappp clappp

Mind, I quite like Pukka Pies :uhoh:

After last home game against the Scunts I couldn't believe they played bastad Tom Hark after we'd lost!!! My piss was already simmering and that just knocked it up to fully boiled. What are we meant to do merrily dance out of the ground in a conga singing along to the fooking tune "we lost 3-2, we lost 3-2, we lost 3-2, we lost 3-2"

BIN TOM HARK!!

I love Tom Hark me, it's a great feelgood tune, but maybe now play it after we get beat.

The introduction of the Chicken Balti pie has been the highlight for me of a pisspoor season- please Pools don't remove them.

There you go - its taken 3 years to make 100 posts and my century is an impassioned defence of curry pie! Quite appropriate.

If we have to have goal celebration music, then I propose the chorus from 'Nothing can stop us' by St Etienne:

"I've never felt so goooood!
I've never felt so stroooonnnggg!
Nothing can stop us noooowwwww!"

One of the most uplifting songs I can think of. It would be a bit crap if they played it after we'd scored a consolation in a 4-1 defeat, but if they played Tom Hark after we were relegated then its surely an improvement.

As for the pies, I would LOVE to see Morrells corned beef slices for sale in the Vic. When I come up tomorrow I'm going to clean them out and buy a bagful. 2 for breakfast, one at half time, a couple when I get in after Saturday night out, then one for breakfast on Sunday. Plus our lass will want some bringing back.

What a song! I am in full agreement.

I was talking to my mate on the way down to Crewe about the run out music. Diesel Power by The Prodigy was on my cd player at the time. That would be an awesome song to run out to. Proper pump-up music. Before anyone starts, it doesn't sound typically like The Prodigy and there's no Keith Flint on it at all!

I think we should play Bohemian Rhapsody.

Goes nicely with 2LB.

Without a doubt the original "Never Say Die" because that sums up Hartlepool United FC

When its bad it does not get any worse.

But when its good it cant be beaten and I would not want it any other way,

Stick your premiership up your arse!

I don't mind it as much when we score, what really gets me is when they play it at the player huddle, surely it would be better to let the crowd make the noise when they do it (like we used to).

To be fair, he hardly hears it.

I think it's f***ing awful.

I want Sweeney to have The Sweeney theme tune when he scores. Maybe we could get a bagpipe rendition of it for when McSweeney scores

I think the sound of around 3,500 fans cheering, then starting their own songs would be better

In the first preseason friendly the team should run out to the Benny Hill theme tune, as a warning, not to repeat last seasons lame, pathetic performances.

there are several musicians/band members on this board.... Why not get together and make a song especially for pools to play?

Why not scrap goal music altogether, it's football, not ice hockey.

Didnt Hodcroft bring an end to individual player songs after goals after James Brown scored and we played "i feel good"??

the original NSD has cache only to old HUFC and as a historical document..singing about being crap and proud of it doesn't fire me up.

I see no reason to celebrate the fact that we where once the laughing stock of the football league..

I'm more for the "NEW" HUFC a well managed club trying to progress through the leagues..

Anyone pining for the 1970's Pools wants their head looking at.

But who is 'pining for the 1970's'? The new NSD is about our current relatively successful period.

Just a thought... Instead of hoping someone from Pools reads this thread (which they probably won't) why doesn't someone print the thread off and post it to Pools with a nice covering letter asking for a reply?

As I said, just a thought......

I've said it before . . . . and I'll say it again . . . . our 'run out music' should be the intro to 'Sweet Child O' Mine' by Guns 'n' Roses. There's a good 40 odd seconds before Axl starts shreiking!
