Genuine offer. i thought about it for years, and can buy a quarter share in a NH racehorse, so Im wondering if anyone on here would like to form a syndicate to purchase the quarter share.

Cost is £7500, for the share, plus about £10 a day, for feed etc, making a total cost of £11,150 for a year.

The horse will be trained by James Ewart up near Carlisle, I have spoken to him, and he reckons it will be good. Now yes I know he's bound to say that otherwise he wouldn't be able to get people to buy into it.

The more that may like to invest , of course the cheaper it would be.

The first football forum to part own a racehorse. could it be us.

I will expect the normal bunker response from some , but if anyone is genuinely interested then pm me and maybe we can get it off the ground.

Like all form of gambling their a risk, but never know we could actually make a profit.

Possibly a Cheltenham Gold Cup or Grand National winner could be ours. Ok thats taking the dream a bit far , but some horse has to win them races. It could just be this one.

A syndicate of 10 buying the quarter share with feed etc works out at about £3 a day, for a year, of course if you stay in it then the feed bill will be annually. You could sell your part share anytime as well.

This the horse

If you get a good response, I might be interested. I'm not anywhere near enough interested to take a quarter share out, but if you get tennish wanting to share I'm up for a daft bet.

That's reason I'm trying to get 10 people to form a syndicate spread the cost and bit fun.

£1150 per person if 10 want a share or £23 a week if you break it down but as bob says this is only the 1st year and subsequent years would be cheaper

As No6 says the initial lay out is more due to buying the actual share of the horse between us. That cost would be £750 (if ten of us) the remainder is for feed etc. Remember you would always have the 10th of the share we own( that reason subsequent years would be feed etc only) and could sell to one of the syndicate or to someone else if we ended up buying the share. So your £750 still there for just of better words. If the horse did turn out to be something special then you may make a profit on that(a loss still possible, that chance you take)

And as quarter owners the syndicate would receive 1/4 of any winnings, which then divided equally between our syndicate.
