I was gonna watch it, but couldn't be arsed with 9 minutes of it.

By the sound of the comments, the answer to my question earlier today to PC about what sort of reception he will get has been confirmed as a loud chorus of boos.

No, i will be booing him as i do with all former players. I'm rolling my eyes as you act as he has done such a terrible thing, daring to change football club. Haven't you ever decided to change company coz you fancied a change?

Despite the poor form of the last season or two I would have loved Nelson to have stayed with Pools. However, he has chosen not to. Had he gone to a Championship club I would have wished him the best of luck. I do not dispute that Norwich are a bigger club than us, a much bigger club. But as he has gone to a club in the same division as us I can only wish him the worst of luck, especially when he plays at The Vic and when we play at Carrow Road. I truely hope Norwich have signed the Nelson of last season rather than the Nelson of a few seasons ago.

You really believe being a professional footballer is just like having a normal job?

Of course you are a manure fan, so you probably think football is a business now.

I could get sacked for not doing my job properly. Nelson has just admitted to not performing for the last 2 seasons cos he wanted to be away, yet he was offered a new contract.

Yeh, just like having a normal job. stpid

If Nelson had gone to play at a higher level and we had got a fee I would said fair do's.

He hasnt, so he is cuunt. FACT.

But its business innit? rolfl

I couldn't have put it better.

Well, I could like but that'll do nicely.

Isn't football a business though, IOR run Pools as a business, Darlow and many others don't

I know which one I would rather have

If they were playing against Pools, I'd boo Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, God .....etc.

I think i'm in the minority here. If it was me and I was guaranteed a decent signing on fee plus a pay rise i'd be off like a shot.
This is his last chance of making some decent bucks and he'd have been a fool to turn it down.
Mind, i'll still probably boo the bounder when we play them here

here's a novel concept for lower league footballers - instead of living like a millionaire while earning a few grand a week for ten year period - why not live a bit more modestly and put some money away for when retiremenet comes? The same as the likes of us have to live? Just a thought like.... then they could learn a new trade and be a bit more comfortably off....
The likes of Nelson can make money for two years at Norwich, but when he bombs...then what? His lifestyle will have to come down a peg or two when the gravy train runs dry.
My view is that it's better to earn £75k a year for the next 5/6 years than £150k a year (or whatever) for the next 2 years. Unless of course I'm completely way out with what he will actually be earning

From where I'm standing, 75k pa is pretty similar to 150k pa anyway....both are more money than I'd know what to do with.

It is the same as were I am standing also as if you earn £150K a year the government take half of it so your back to £75K anyway

im glad he has gone. apart from a couple of games at the end of last season to put himself in the shop window he was unrelentingly shyte for the best part of 18 months. in the interview butterworth said he had gone stale and nelson himself stated he had been out of form for the last 12 months.

dunno about stale and out of form, he has to be the worst passer of a ball i have ever seen, and that includes mickey barron. its not like that is going to improve, and i cant see him getting any faster than slow.

truth is the defence needed rebuilding, we all knew it, and nelson was part of the problem, not the solution.

i will deffo be booing him next season.

All of what he said ^^^
