Not with his performances last season hopefully Ben Clark will be centre back and with Hartley.

He was shite as soon as he grew his hair, all he is now is a slow fooker who cant pass or defend and a money grabbing cockend.

Scunny are apparently after him although he is no where near championship class. Next season if he stays in our division Boyd and Brown will torture him.

I wouldnt go that far like Rodders, i just meant he shouldnt be TOO difficult to replace! For what its worth i think hes been a good player for us, good luck to him.

Nelson turns down contract?
Wow, I bet nobody saw that one coming.

Edit: strange that Turner should interrupt his holidays to reveal this sctatchinghead

No suprise but does this mean turner will be looking for another centre back or is Hartley the replacement knowing that Nelson was away?

A real shame him leaving. At his best, he was superb, but I know he really wasn't playing at best certainly last year.

I will never, ever forget that 4-3 win at Peterborough and his now famous screamer of a winner.

The sun shone very brightly that day. We all went absolutely mental celebrating that result after that nervewrackingly tense game.

Good luck for the future, Michael clappp clappp clappp

With a good keeper and a couple of good full backs beside him he can and will do fine in League 1 and I can see him becoming a crowd favorite at Norwich, Scunny or whatever team he joins.

He was a great player for pools, but if he goes to a rival in league one, then I do hope the rest of his carrer turns to shit.

As for you idiots wishing him well?????????????????? stpid

I hope that he makes that many mistakes his new club get relegated. One less spot to worry about.

Nelson gave 6 years of loyal service to this Club and you DON'T want us to wish him well?

He's become a 'Poolie legend in my eyes now.

Unless those clubs are Southampton or Leeds?

Can 'we' ever wish any player who dares to leave the mighty 'Pool well?

Or will you chuck the rattle out and lock this thread?

It might be for the service he gave, perhaps?

I hope he signs for Leeds, you won't know what to do......

A crowd favourite at Scunny can you really see him doing well in the championship? I think division 1 is his top level but fair play if he can get a contract in that league. Nelson was dominant in the air but a player with a bit of pace and skill running at him he falls short. 1 player that comes to mind was Julian Joachim i think it was for Walsall he tortured him.

Pools should have given him a week to accept the new contract, or told him to welcome to the board.

"Nelson, what are you sat there for you softcnut, get on the fookin pitch".

I think that was when his "head wasnt right". rolfl

He gave decent service, and played well in his early seasons, whether it was because of who was alongside him for the last 2 seasons, is debateable, but for them 2 seasons he hasnt performed consitently well and if anything his distribution became worse and worse.

As I say good luck to him, but I dont think he will be that sorely missed.

Our recent history would have been a lot worse without him and dare I say it, without him we would have been relegated last season.

Time to move on, he's been a good player and to wish him anything other than well is churlish.
