...that England's next World Cup Qualifier - the game we could clinch qualification to South Africa in- is...at home to CROATIA!!!!

I see it as the perfect opportunity to finally exorcise the ghosts of when we failed to qualify at home at the new Wembley Stadium in it's first year with the "Wally in the Brolly" Steve McClaren in charge and losing his job the next day.

And the FA Chiefs said in a press conference the day after, "Qualification to a major tournament is the very least we expect from and England side."

No. Once we were drawn in the same group, and the fixtures arranged then the game between England and Croatia at Wembley was almost certainly going to be some form of decider, as the fixtures were well arranged by our FA, with 3 of the last 4 being at home. And Croatia arranged so we still had 2 to play.

What would be ironic is if we got to the last game of the group and Andorra were playing a team who could stop us qualifying by getting something and failed to do so , just as they did against Russia in November 2007 and we went out .
