CT had a plan for Mackay could be be shipped out on loan to a club in a lower division next season....perhaps he will also do it with Foley?

Gateshead with their promoton could also be a useful link for our players next year..maybe?

He also tipped Aaron Barrett to find himself another club..but did'nt hold out much hope for Budtz.

Paul Arnison was talking to the table I was with as he was leaving the Rovers and said he was available on a free from Bradford, he still has a years contract to run. Graeme Lee has been told he can go also..Darlo for them possibly?

"said he was in the dark about the managers job, IOR have said get some players in, but have not confirmed to him the managers situation."

only fooking IOR sorry ken hodcroft would do this, say we get a new manger in before the strat of the season, he'll want his own players, turner might sign someone which the new manger dose not rate.

before we start sending money or giving out 2 year contracts get the mangers job sorted!!! if it's turner, give the fooking thing to him.

EVERY manager when taking over a new club would be stuck with players he may or may not want, thats life. If they had signed a new manager in May for example, how on earth would he know what players he would need? how would he know what players in the squad are good enough?

The chances are it will be Turner who takes charge, but if not then its tough shit for the new manager, he will have to wait before bringing his own players in, much like Wilson had to do when he took over

you are a tit you- why the fook would you let turner start buying if he is not going to get the job or has not been told he's got the job? get a new manager in and let him decide who he want's and dose not want, yes when mangers take a new job they start with a team which they have to work with but all mangers have their own ideas which players they like and what system they are going to play. if a new manager comes in and then goes to hodcroft saying i want these players chances are hodcroft will knock him back because turner has spent the bastard buget for new players

"The chances are it will be Turner who takes charge, but if not then its tough shiit for the new manager, he will have to wait before bringing his own players in, much like Wilson had to do when he took over"

and look where that got us you div

ignoring the personal abuse  ......

"look where that got us" ......er Wilsons first season ended in promotion!!!!

any new manager coming in now wouldn't have a clue about the players and how good they are, so would not be able to judge what he needs until at least August when guess what.....all the good players will have gone.

I agree its a silly way of doing it, but while Turners in the position he is then he is going to do his best to improve the squad in order to prevent a similar season to last.

Put it this way, who is in the best position to judge what and who is needed player wise, Turner now or a brand new manager after a few weeks training with the squad?

yeah he did get promition in his 1st season but in League 2!!! he had dimi, monkhouse, porter, duffy, brown all of them head and shoulders better than league 2 we proved that by going 23 matches unbeaten

yes chances are turner will know the team better than a new manager but if a manger comes in he'll want his own players not turner's. a new manger should be top of the list of things to sort.

going back to the original post a couple of things i have just remembered were that we tried to sign Liam Dickinson on loan last season, it was all about to go through, then Paul Jewell left and it fell through. Also Turner said that while Nardiello did quite well, he's basically not worth the amount of wages he would want. Also said that DW leaving was a split decision between DW and Uncle Ken. DW was apparently starting to get itchy feet at the start of that season, although Turner didn't mention why etc.

I hate wilson even more now, he basically seen pools as a stepping stone to get his career back on track and we don't want managers like that.

I've boycotted buying four four two now, because as sponsors of swindon town, they basically bum them every month, loads of articles on wilson and i can't even look at the man!

And it costs about £60 too!

Snowy was saying that 18 months ago - and he was correct

The bad thing is parmo its worked for him.

His record at pools in FACT form (we love facts on here) reads well, 1 promotion, then consolidation.

So to some outsiders looking in, he done well here, earning a move to swindon, who some would class as a bigger club.

Tw@t!
