I'd say only one of the three warrants the tag..

Jimmy Naill is a talentless silly boy but Lindisfarne I can get away with maybe cos it takes me back to days out in the car with me mam n dad and a radio casette player...

BTW Does anyone else remember carrying around a battery operated radio cassette because you only had a radio in the car and a MW one at that!

"Lindisfarne were bollocks too ......."

I came along just to bring you this song , can you spare one dream for me - ranks up there with Willie Shakesmine stuff for sheer genius . What would I sing in the shower without that classic to rely on

Next you will be saying White Spirit were a half decent acoustic band with an anorexic singer

oh well happy days - no pleasing everyone

I swa Jimmy Nail filming a scene for Spender at the old Cattle Market cap park in Newcastle. It was a cold morning and he called for his warm jacket. A lackey came out with a huge fur collared coat ... what a puff.

No, White Spirit were great.

Come on Elv ... they were OK, hardly great. Good for a music-starved Hartlepool at the time.

Supporting Elvis on The Jimmy Nail at the Bird's Nest scandal. Even though The Toy Dolls are on record as saying it was the worst place they ever played they shared their equipment and did not collect the door money themselves like Nail did. However, Tim Healy who played lead guitar for the King Crabs, gave us a fiver to make up for the two pints and twenty Regal to share that we usually claimed as a promoter's fee (not that we would have called it that then, we were strictly non-profit making so it would have just been theft). Top man who deservedly went on to marry her off Coronation Street and the SCS adverts.

Can I also point out that Jimmy Nail was extremely fond of the mighty Big Ingrid.

The little waster Bobby Thompson.

Me an our lass went into a furniture shop and said we want to buy a table. The feller says we've got some in teak and some in mahogany. Bobby say's, "Have you got anything made out of wood"

Warrer laugh

White Spirit, that's a blast from the past, what about a mention for Lucas Tyson and Brass Alley.

Ha! I'll be downloading them (when you confirm your email on the site apparently). Do they stand the test of time?

Thanks Phil.
