It's offit some of the bands who have played there over the past few years, i was there in 2003 too see biffy and our kids band, was a goodun that year.

May go to this one but it wont be till tea time.

Like i said to chip on wednesday, the line up always looks poor when you look at it now, but in a year to 2 years time look at this years line up and it always looks better, groups on the up or on the verge of doing summit play music live, if your not sure of whether to go type there name in myspace or google and see if you like them or not.

Christ i went too see biffy there in 2003, look at them fuckers now, but back then not many had heard of them.

its an odd thing that I'm more excited by the local bands playing, who I genuinely believe are better than the so-called 'touring' or 'national' bands....

What differance is there, other than geography, between a band from Boro or Hartlepool than a band from Southampton or London?

I'll be watching: Das Wanderlust, the back of Dan's head at half 2, The Chapman Family, Future of the Left, Beth Jean Houghton, and more than likely the Zutons as the kids wanna see em - but I'll more than likely sneak off and watch a bit of Frank Turner and Pellethead!

Concur with Salty about the London v Hartlepool/NE thing. It's always been a bit like that imo. Was just talking about this with an old mate the other night....the fact that we used to alternate between living a year or two in London and living in the NE, and finally realising that there was no point doing that because the NE was so much better in every way.

Jonny was wanting to see Future of the Left, he was drinking with them in Minehead at one of the ATP weekends last month. He was caught out by the lead singer, when he was watching them live, and he stuck his mike in front of Jonny to sing, unfortunately as he had just 'discovered' them he didn't know the words. :uhoh:

He said he would see then up here, but hadn't realised that it was the same day as our little trip to see the Brothers Gallagher.

I was there for a bit today. Watched The Woven Project who were superb, took on Idiot Savant, who were also superb. Totally enjoyed both of these.

Went to watch Skint and Demoralised which was purely by chance, coz I actually wanted to see The Panics who didn't seem to show.

Anyway, I was blown away by Skint and Demoralised. I seriously hope these lads make it. They were like a breath of fresh air. Very, very good!

I thought it was a really good day, and as usual despite the line-up not looking so hot saw some really good bands and nice surprises along the way!
