Who would have Jermaine Easter back, reportedly being released by Plymouth.

Turner did originally sign him as an 18/19 year old.

No I'm not saying we are signing him, just asking if he is to be released who on here would have him back ??

I did think he was a bit harshly treated by some fans previously.

No becasue we have better already at the club in his type of role, he wouldnt play well along side Boyd, who I think would be better with a target man.

well he certainly improved when he left us and is a lot more experienced. Not sure if he is good enough though?

At the right price he is worth a look, Easter looked stronger last time I saw him play and he has a bit of pace - he would give us options and he is better than Michael Mackay but then so am I......

Easter has scored less than 10 career goals outside of the bottom division in his life, his goalscoring record in the bottom division is moderate at best. Yes he's played for Wales but so has Chris Llewellyn.

I don't see what this 'improvement' people think he's made is based on. He wasn't good enough for us then so I doubt he is now. I always thought he had a bit of ability but at best he's an average fourth division forward. Cooper was absolutely correct to move him on.

he has made 199 appearances with 70 odd of those as a sub, scoring 51 goals, so basically 1 in 4 which is average.

However i always think its unfair to include the subs appearances as for the majority of the time they are for 20 mins or less in most circumstances. I look at it that for every 4 subs appearances it equates to one match. So his goalscoring ratio is more like 51 goals in 138 which is 1 in every 2.7 games or something which isnt too bad at all.

However someone is going to pull me up saying my theory is bollocks so all of this was a waste of 5 mins of my life :laugh:

i think league 1 or 2 is his level yes, however a Championship team decided to sign him which suggests they saw enough of him to warrant a contract in the Championship. And looking at his goals to game ratio at that level, its still not bad, if we did sign him (which we wont) i wouldnt be complaining
