Even if you could guarantee he could score us 35 goals next season I wouldn't have him.

My problem with Hughes isn't just what he did. He's served his time for that and is free to continue in his career. What rankles is the way he seems to revel in his role, as if he is some kind of pantomime villain rather than a convicted killer. He'd be better served by keeping his head down and getting on with his job. The bloke has no class.

A bit like Bob Newton then, I remember during a game against Darlo, he incited the Pools fans to attack the Loids.

I'd have him, I can forgive one offs, its the repeat offenders that get me.

If it makes me a fool then so be it. Not many things would make me want to stop following Pools but he is one of them. Horrible, horrible man.

Immaterial anyway as there's not a chance in hell of him signing. Thank fck.

I simply can't get my head round why a serial drink driver should be held up as a 'hero'.

For those that see him as a 25/30 goal a season striker ask yourself this.
If he was capable of that why are Oldham letting him go for nowt.
And for the record I would be embarresed if he was playing for us.

I have to say no one "sees" him as a 25/30 goal a season striker he just is "Hughes had scored 25 goals in 51 starts for the Latics but ended the season on loan at Championship side Blackpool."
