Fookin' photoshop!!!!!!!

All I want to do is edit some stuff with Chinese subtitles into English subtitles. What a fookin' nightmare. It just told me 'This type layer must be rasterized before proceeding. It's text will no longer be editable.'

So what do I do?? Get it some dreadlocks, a big bifter and a yellow green red and black hat??

Also what the bloody fook is 'aliasing??'

The bastards who write this shit are the smuggest bunch of weedy nerds in the universe and I would never tire of stamping on them.

Mr Grave you have a pm.

If you don't know what rastering and aliasing is, use windows picture editor instead.

Hope this helps.

P.S. text is usually constructed from vectors (i.e. mathematically calculated lines) so it's rescalable to any size you like without loss of quality. Rasterised means the image is made of pixels so the only way to upscale is basically to double (or triple or millionuple) the size of the pixels. Anti-aliasing is a method of making the steps between the giant pixels less visible to the eye by putting a colour gradient in the gaps between the steps. The stepping effect is called aliasing you see.

Easy peasy, eh? That'll be 175,000 yuan please (that's probably 10 bob in pounds).

The jargon is a nightmare though. I've been using Autocad for getting on 10 years and still come across stuff that might have been written by martians. The above is an example. Pixel image I would have understood, raster image......nah. And why can't the stepping effect be called..........stepping!

By the way Paint is a good picture editing programme similar to Photoshop but available as a free download.
