Now that the close season is upon us and the non cricketers are getting bored I think it might be time to have a good rant over MPs expenses. It seems that the Member for Hartlepool is not immune from criticism.

I do hope as many MPs as possible get kicked out at the next election - not because they have broken the rules that they set (heaven forbid) - but because the electorate don't care about rules, they just know what is right and what is wrong and MPs up and down the land have been taking the p*ss and pocketing our money. Just a few thoughts of my own

1. when MPs stop being MPs they should be required to have their second homes valued and reimburse the tax payer for any capital gains if they want to keep the home or when they sell the property (index linked of course)
2. when they stop being MPs they should be required to return all the non food items purchased under the second homes allowance to the state authorities ie tvs, patio sets etc. It would be really nice to have the opportunity to purchase ex MPs items on e-bay, though the slime and sticky stains might put some off
3. lock all the cheating b*stards up for defrauding us tax payers

Spot on. If anyones job came with such perks we'd be a fool to refuse them.

During the first firemans strike I was stationed in RAF Benson fighting fires all round the Midlands, the amount of gifts that we got sent was unreal, barrels of beer (first fire was at Bass brewary), money, food clothes & tons of electrical gadgets.

We got told that it was against regulation to accept any gifts what so ever, anything with an address was returned, money that could not be returned was donated to a childrens home ect ect. The only thing we got to keep but no one wanted them was tickets for all Wolves home games.

If rules can be avoided or twisted to fit then these crooked twats will do it, anything like this should of been regulated better and charges brought against anyone breaking the rules eg the male mp claiming for Tampax.

The thing is if anyone's job came with such perks the taxman would have taxed you the fookin lot. MPs have always taken the moral high ground and had a go at tax dodgers etc (closing loopholes and saying how everyone has to share the pain) and now we find, on the system that they have developed for themselves, that they are up there with the best of them. Only when all of the receipts have been published iwill we know whether everyone has been abusing the system or whether its down to a few dozen without a moral compass. The 'fools' who refused the perks might still have a seat after the next election. Those that have exploited the system should find themselves out on their arses.

They should all go to jail to be buggered off the niggers.

I am still of the opinion that we should put someone up for the seat to oppose him. There might never be a better time, if only the dead heads who habitually vote labour because they are 'the party of the working man' (yeah right!!) could be convinced.

They're supposed to be in parliament to set standards for the rest of us to follow, it appears that when left to the task of setting an example, they fall at the first hurdle... It's not just another job though is it, it's no good asking people to make sacrifices whil they're all grabbing what they can, it's morally wrong, never mind the rules.

ultimately she was responsible as the wages when she had the job were poor so back door payments/ expenses were allowed on her say so
only now when the press push the government of the day for change claiming they are the only culprits. it was laughable to hear the other sides condemming yet dipping in themselves a classic coup to nail the standing government then follow up a couple of days later with the rest of the revalations. "BOUNDERS THE LOT OF THEM"
