Why don't they sell their fourth division championship trophies & the one they got for playing in a part-time league?

I'd rather have a club than a trophy personally.

Deepest sympathys like, I like a laugh but no fan deserves to loose their club, more clubs will follow until the FA controls who can own a football club.

Fuck, I've just had an awful thought.

They will reform as AFC Darlington and have to start at the bottom.

They will start to win a few leagues, they will count them all (Darlington & District League under 8's 3rd division, North Eastern Transvestite Lepers Premier League the lot) and the likes of Walshys Wingman and Guy the Northern Echo Hater will be all over us with the trophyless jibes like a rash.

That maybe so but any Darlo fan under the age of 25 has no memory of his team playing in anything other that the basement division. I know that I would pick, our little bit of success over the last 10 seasons over a trophy won back in the early 90's.

Just look at all the big sides we have played in the league over the last few years, Sheff Wed, Notts F, Leicester and Leeds (so many times I am bored with them), next season 3 more biggies join us whilst you if your lucky will have Barnet, Histon, Morcombe & the Daggers.

Darlington Founded 1883 won 1st trophy in 1990 took 107 years.

For your information it our centenary season this year, so if we win a trophy within the next 7 years, we would have won a trophy quicker in our history than you did.

Can always be twisted.

And if we last till 2035, we will have lasted longer as well.

I think the Conference title erases the worthiness of the League trophy.
