no not him - the shop at Throston. Filled me trolley for 59 quid!! Bargain!!! I'll be off there more often from now on, all good tack as well. You wouldn't have got much change out of £80 at Tesco or Asda or wherever for what I just got!!!

The milk is dear in there. £1.49 - its cheaper than that in Gillens.

It is cheap for almost everything else though.

Cant beat Sainsburys in Boro, their meat is far superior quality to Tescos and they have a decent range of everything else and not really more expensive then any of the other major supermarkets.

I'm sorry but I can't go along with this..It's certainly NOT all good tack Parmo, most of it is basic, sub-standard shite. The tinned stuff is all German (and basic-level too). The only thing I buy from there is bottled water (cheap as chips and English) and they occassionally get decent cheese in. I'll put up with budget stuff in most consumer goods but I wont eat Lidl-Aldi-Netto cack. Gotta be Tescos/Mozzas or Marksies for me.
Disagree, Lidl and Aldi in particular are a lot better on certain things than the big supermarkets. The German stuff is usually better because they don't accept any old cack in Germany and they do have standards to produce their food to ... I've noticed Marksies in particular have gone down in the taste stakes to me, but that's my opinion ...why pay a fortune for things just because they market them so cleverly.
there's the stigma value of course, but that isn't a problem in Germany where I first encountered these stores and still isn't.

Not always, the butchers we use are very similar priced to supermarkets, if not slightly cheaper a lot of the time

And our poverty.

PC always gets a better deal from the butchers here, probably helps that he is a Poolie too.
