just read his interview on the Official site, he sounds excited to be back! Also sounds like he's been told we are going to be making a concerted effort to sign some quality players, reading between the lines like

His game has changed slightly since he went though, wasn't aware of the farming lifestyle in that London:

52 goals will make him our all time top striker. I fully expect him to get them within three seasons. If Joel can get 20 in a poor team, Adam can get 20 in a better one, and I'm counting on the team being better.

Is that positive or what?

If Brown and Boyd can strike up a partnership they're surely going to be one of the most unpredictable strike forces about.
It's got me excited but I still remember Boyd pre-Boston, lets hope he can play like he did under Cooper and then we'll have two strikers capable of getting 20 goals a year.

I think it's been established that Boyd's scoring record before the Boston loan was just as good as after it.

In fact I'm sure it was ... viewtopic.php?p=250286#p250286

P.S., did anyone else read the topic title and immediately assume it was Mr O'Kent writing.

So a player's goal scoring record is the only thing to consider? Boyd's attitude was amateur before he went out on loan regardless of how many goals he scored, he still had bags of wasted ability. When he came back he became a far better team player and still chipped in with the goals.

If he's a striker and he's getting hatfuls of goals I don't reckon there's much to complain about. It'd be a bit like complaining about a goalie's kicking when he's regularly keeping clean sheets.

Yes, goal scoring record is the only thing to consider, if he scores 20+ a season I won't really give a fook

People who trot this shite out sound like Bozo Scott

What was Boyds goalscoring record like under different managers?

Boyd's minutes per goal under each manager

147 - Turner
307 - Newell
143 - Cooper
253 - Scott
410 - Stephenson

Average = one goal every 164 minutes.

And he was crocked under Stevo.
