Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has lent his backing to keeper Manuel Almunia's potential claim to play for England.

foster rarely plays

and carson and robinson are totally error prone as proven in big matches.

We just don't have the quality between the sticks.

Kirkland is our best keeper imo and he's made of paper

England never used to have this problem in the 60's and 70's

im all for english keepers but i think it would be a good move. almunia is a quality keeper and thats what england lack sadly, david james is still error prone at times and isnt getting any younger, if foster plays he will be number 1 in a year but cant see him budging out van der sar untill he retires, and thats if he gets his game then.

Tottenham's Carlo Cudicini was also rumoured to be heading for an England call-up. It's a joke.
