YESS !!!!

That will wipe the smile off Matt Le Tissier's smug face !!!!

He's been a little cocky about Hartlepool's plight lately on Sky. I'm glad he's got a taste of his own medicine.

I have noticed that he has made the odd joke about us on football Saturday especially when we've been losing.

Le Tiss is a sound guy and an excellent player.

You on the other hand are an idiot.

And Sir Jeff takes the piss out of S'ton, which LT takes on the chin

Great player, great servant to his club and unlike you POK, he has spoken to a woman other then his mother

He once said on one of his programs that Southampton was one of his favourite clubs.

And I think he lives not far from Southampton

Like Luton, Southampton are founder members of that gravy train the Premier League. While I still have some sympathy with their fans, the club was more than happy to shaft the smaller clubs and take the money in 1992 so as far as I am concerned the greed they showed then has finally bitten them in the backside.

I posted my above posting onto the 606 boards on the BBC website. It didn't get posted as far as I am aware. I received the following from the moderator:

Thats a reasonable comment about southampton and succinctly put, its what a lot of us think about the in-equalities nee corruption within the hierachy of the football leagues, whats wrong with the BBC.

Nah, although I know his old man Marcus. Top bloke. Did you know MLeT makes more as a pundit on football Saturday than he ever did as a footballer?

I've many happy memories of visiting Southampton - all of them at The Dell, and most of them relating to watching them duff the Toon. Best of all was when MOTD cut to the away end/side when MLeT screamed another 7,000 yard volley past some hapless custodian in the 167th minute of stoppage time only to show me in my Pools top laughing out loud - my old man is a Toon fan and he got the tickets free so I didn't feel guilty about funding the good ship Premier. Hat tip to Bresslaw for noticing.

One of the few grounds (apart from Stockport, Eastleigh and Burgess Hill Town) which I can get there and back in day now they've changed the times of the Gatwick flights.
