assum ing Codyakker was parked in his own car park, how can there be a parking ticket dished out on the Mill House pub car park? It's got nowt to do with the traffic warden, surely? It's up to the pub to decide who gets to park there!!!

that little sectioned off area immediately adjacent to the pub. All pubs are supposed to have a car park and that area "should" belong to the pub, not the council.

Does anyone remember when you never had to pay to park anywhere in the whole town. It wasn't that long ago.

certainly wasn't - it must have been the 90's before we had to pay. Now they are putting parking meters where there is street parking.
F-ucking nazis.

Apparently, that's cos the bloke from the council who's in charge of our roads etc (and has been for the last 14 years) is a car-hater from Stockton who gets the train in every day.
Must be true cos me mate told me yesterday!!

The person in charge of the traffic wardens in this town is female.

Is my memory going mad or could you in the town pay for half an hour in the car park in town a couple of years ago? Also how come the minimum charge now is about £1.20, I always park on st pauls road and walk to the town down thornton street as i am a cheap skate and generally only stay in town for about 20mins as the shops are crap.

Also why should we pay parking charges at the hospital?

Agreed. But they claim you can always take public transport. Great.
There's an inevitable minimum 1-hour wait at the hospital to get seen to, there's one bus an hour from my house to the 'spital, and it's a 30 minute ride instead of 15 by car... whoosh! - half a day up in smoke.
If it was the hospital getting all the benefit of the parking charges I wouldn't mind, but it isn't.

Roker Street, behind Kwik-Save, which may be something else now, I forget, is were I park in the town centre, if on a quick visit. Although it wasn't as much as 70p the last time I parked there

Express parking:

Roker Street Gainford Street
106 Spaces 32 Spaces

70p for half hour

Don't you have to shop in Morrisons though, if you park in their car park?
