But we no worse off than we were on Saturday after our draw, and there one last match to play.

Yes 3 points today would have almost guaranteed our safety, but it still the same, one more win.

KEEP THE FAITH

But Crewe are a point closer, and Brighton won so we must be a wee bit worse off

Or don't they count?

Keep the faith?

I thought we were foookin appalling today. The most one sided three two in history.

Oh, and Porter is out again.

Oh, and Parker told the town end to foook off.

Aye.....keep the faith.

a centre half playing shite in midfield. Two centre halfs playing shite at centre half.

Two strikers that played like they couldnt be arsed.

Aye......keep the faith.

No, but if I did should I kick it?

Get a grip man

We scored two at home, again
And lost again
We've won four matches since the turn of the year

I'd love us to beat Leeds and get a point in our remaining away matches, but can anyone on here really see us doing it with the defence we have at the moment?

Talbot - find a post from me that says that? All I said was that I almost got the score right, there is a difference.

DOH still 5 points from bottom so no worse off.

And Brighton have Bristol R, Huddersfield away and Oldham and Stockport at Home

Crewe have Cheltenham and Leicester at Home and Stockport Away

Carlisle have Swindon and Millwall at home and Cheltenham Away

I stick by what I 've been saying for months a team will stay up with less than the so called safety margin of 50 points, I believe and hope it's Pools'

They both managed not to lose

We did

We show the same mentality EVERY time a 'big match' comes up

We fannied around against Orient and it bit us on the arse

We scrapped a win against a woeful Hereford, thanks in the main to big nose

It may seem from my posts today I want us to go down, I don't but the team don't seem to be able to grasp the fact time has almost ran out

While I rarely agree with talbot (and he rarely agrees with me) , im pretty sure he would not have accused us of not showing the right mentality v Hereford.

Today it was evident however how our players mentality was all wrong.

I think there was a general lack of ideas today. The midfield might as well have not been there. 2 daft defensive blunders. Parker puts in plenty of effort but offered nothing. Porter was injured for a good 5-10 minutes before he was substituted.

For the record, I thought Skarz looked a bit better today.

oh welcome to the board will you.

we beat hereford when we absolutely had to.

we ground out a draw at crewe when we absolutely had to.

one scunnys goal was a complete fooking fluke, one was offside, and one was an almighty fooking defensive cock up.

we got beat off a team that are a bit better than we are, thats why they are challenging for promotion and why we are scrapping to avoid relegation.

our best player was clearly unfit, our best defender was in midfield, and our most potent attacking threat was on the bench.

blah, blah, blah fooking blah.

carlisle lost, northampton lost, crewe only drew again. do you think their fans are full of the joys of spring ? we are better than those teams because we are above them in the table .

next week we have to do what we did last week and go away from home and get a point. at yeovil. who are not very good. its not like we need to beat barcelona ffs.

the way some people are going on you would think we were bottom.

Wasn't expecting vitriol from you. Oh well.

Do you honestly think we deserved anything from today?
You have constantly championed Nardiello. Has he been the wonder player you promised he would be?
Yeovil have been showing great form recently. Do you think we will win there? (1 away win in God knows how long)
Did we set the world on fire at Crewe? I was there. It was a hard earned point. Scunny would have taken all three I'm sure of that. We never really looked like scoring.
Do you think Porter will score the goals to keep us up from the treatment table?

I have a feeling that it'll come down to the last day and if it does, character will play a huge part. Do we have enough of it? I hope so.

And don't tell me to welcome to the board. I expected more from you mate. Bit purile that.

Yeovil were beaten at Cheltenham, hardly great form. the reason why they are where they are is because they arent very good, and they hit a purple patch which is well & truely over. I rate Crewe more than Yeovil. And Yeovil know they are probably safe so we might just be able to sneak a victory. We still have a very good chance of picking up at the very least 2 points this season, which will ultimately be enough.

All if's and buts though. If we play like we did today, we won't get anything from that match. Yeovil may have lost to Cheltenham, but so did we recently. This happens at this time of the season. Teams at the bottom pick up points by scrapping for them.

I would love us to win the next 3 matches. We could all walk around pretending that we will and diss people who disagree with the blind optimism. I'm just trying to be realistic.

I think the teams below us dropping points will save us.

Yeovil 1 defeat in 6 and using their loan signings very effectively but you think they're well and truly out of their purple patch?!

Having seen Crewe on Saturday I most definitely do not rate them over Yeovil.

It's going to be a hard game and I'd be very surprised if we got more than a point.

so your rating yeovil over crewe when you have only seen one of them play? sctatchinghead

Yeovil hit a purple patch and now know that barring a miracle that they are safe. they will be relaxed come saturday, that could work good or bad for us, but if we give it our all and sort the defense out (a BIG if) then there is no reason why we cant win that match. The Leeds game is there for the taking too.

realistically we could still stay up even if we lost all 3 games, although that would be extremely lucky on our behalf...

those fixtures actually make me think that Pools will be one of the four. In fact there's a good chance of us finishing 22nd, never mind 21st!!!

If at the start of the season someone told me, because of injuries to our first choices of Porter and Brown, we would be finishing our matches with a forward line of Nardiello and Parker, I would have been more than happy, and so would most Pools fans surely! Both have played very well at both league 1 and Championship level, we haven't seen the best of them, I don't know why, is that a reason to write them off?

I wasn't writing him off. Just stating the fact that he hasn't set the world alight. I actually like him as a player. I've seen very little in Parker to suggest he is the answer. He seemed to be constantly offside and kept losing the ball when trying to hold it up.
I'm not normally so negative but I can't see many more points coming our way, especially if Porter is out for the rest of the season.

Two teams have to get 2 or 3 more points than us in their remaining three games.
One team has to get 5 points from 5 games
The team needing 5 extra points has Orient and Hereford to play.
The team that needs 3 extra points is playing Cheltenham and Swindon.
The team that needs 2 extra points is playing Cheltenham at home.
They don't need to be Brazil.

And I haven't counted Brighton.

While it's fairly unlikely all three will hit those targets, it's not outrageously unlikely.

All I can say is we'd better get two more points and get them quick.

Iv never once heard anyone slag Nardiello off.

And to be honest id rather see Foley play than Parker. Apart from winning a dubious penalty I cant see what he has added. I agree he has a good touch and good vision but he doesnt seem to do anything. But saying that if he is keeping Mackay out of the starting line up then its a good job he is here.

I said that on balance it's unlikely all three will hit their targets. But shit happens and I'd rather have some insurance. I don't want to be biting my nails in the last match.
I'm sure that secretly you're getting a little less confident yourself.

Still, last relegation around, in the last three games, we managed to pull off a win and two draws against two out of three promotion chasers so watch this space.

P.S., we should have played Foley against Scunthorpe. They're his lucky team.

We wont stay up if that happens. bbolt

We need 3points....at least.

Of course the others are likely to pick up points.......and I think they will. If we get 3 points I think we will end up 5th bottom, safe by one point.

Goal difference wont help us against Northampton either.

i suspect, like pools, they will be happy enough with a 0-0 draw.

its a wonder any fooker will play for us. no wonder our best players cant get away from the place quick enough.

OK smartsarse. Please tell me how Pools can possibly be happy with a point against yeovil.......on the basis that none of us have an idea what everyone elses results will be.

If we get only a point, then we need to get at least a point off leeds and Bristol rovers. And although we could........YOU are the one on crack, if you, at this moment in time, actually believe we will.

And as for your second gem.............please enlighten us all as to which of our best players cant wait to leave........................I would love to know, as I am sure would the other 3000 loyal fans(Obvioulsy Chip, not true fans, as most of us are too sensible to want to go to yeovil). And if you have any proof for your stupid claim, then tell us that as well.

I and many others will give these c...u...n...t...s the send off they deserve.

Unless, of course, you are talking shite?

Aye.

I am with the team. And the very loyal stupid foookers on here slagging everyone off for not being happy with the team.

Spineless players and spineless fans. bbolt

I'm with you all the way. Anyone who is supremely confident that we'll survive at this point is a liar or a robot.

And no amount of silly shyte like this  will make me feel any more confident!

I hope that somehow we get 3 points against Yeovil and that we can breathe a bit easier.

Nelson should be dressed as H'Angus's lass for the Leeds match, at least then we might be able to laugh at the useless gimp falling around and making a tit of himself.

what, so because you say it, it must be true? What happens if putting Collins & Clark together is even worse than the Collins/Nelson partnership?

You just dont know, maybe it been trialled in training and hasn't worked?

Calling someone a thick t=wat because you would choose one centre-back over another is complete fucking madness.

Turner is a thick tw-t for leaving Clark in the centre of midfield instead of central defence!!! He's the best centre half we've got, so why isn't he playing there/? Ergo Turner must be dense!!!

boydie, dimi, porter all good players, all out the door as soon as an offer came in. sweeney very nearly went to donny as well. monkhouse openly talking about hoping to sign for leeds and raising his game every time we play them.

if i was porter reading this board, your comments alone dibble suggesting he is feigning injury and shirking a challenge , which frankly are an embarrassment , would have me on the first plane out of here. when was the last time you had a pain killing injection just so you could haul your lardy arse to work ?

Right Chip. Can you take that comment back. Or I will have to let your friend Joel know that you make this shit up. Just because you contact him on face book doesnt give the right to post bollox like this.

As for the rest....well that beating cant come quick enough.

And you still havent answered your grand claim that all of our best players WANT to be away. So come on.....give your evidence.....as you seem to believe all of our players are your buddies.

Or maybe your claims are "Frankly, an embarrassment?"
