.... one of those comedy sitcoms I don't say I'm mad keen on but can enjoy the odd episode, but is it only me who thinks it went down the pan when that Racquel turned up ... bit like Sooty, never the same when that bossy, nagging, whining bitch of a panda Sue turned up .....
I should have been a philosopher.

I loved Sooty when I was a kid and I had a Sooty puppet!!!! :sweet:

Only Fools & Horses I really loved but they get repeated that many times I'm sick of seeing them now!!!!

And I prefered Grandad to Uncle Albert!!!! :sweet:

Plus my favourite scene in OFAH is not Del falling through the bar but the one where they are cleaning the Chandeliers!!!!

  'Just one more turn Del'!!!!

As for the Sooty Show...now you're talking. Soo was brought in in the late 60's alongside Butch (a bulldog) and Ramsbottom (a Yorkshire Snake!) mainly to add some "Real" voices, as Sooty of course said nowt and Sweep just squeaked.

Matthew Corbett, Harry's son kept the show going until well into the 90's (it was called "Sooty and Co" towards the end and they lived in a shop) but now it's presented by Richard Cadell..bit of a workshy fop really.

My Girls were both MASSIVE Sooty fans when they were younger, we even went to the Sooty Museum in Shipley a few times when my eldest was younger! clappp
...but what do you think about Sue ...or whatever they call her..?

Fools and Horses is excellent. The 'time on your hands' one really should have been the last one, they should have been remembered for making it rich.

There was a few after that but not up to the same standard. It wasn't the same without uncle Albert and even Mike from the Nags Head was missed.

The best line was in one of the very first eposodes IMHO, Del and Rodney in a club trying to impress some chicks by saying Rodney was a pro tennis player. Rodney gets distracted and is then asked by one of the women if 'he prefared grass or astroturf', and he replied 'I've never smoked astoturf.'.....

Not half as bad as Scooby Doo went after the introduction of Scrappy "f*cking" Doo.

And I also hate Only Fools and Horses. Trash.

It had some classic episodes such as the Batman and Robin one, but there majority was the same old jokes rehashed. Rose coloured glasses I'm afraid and the mans right; after they made their money with that watch, that should have been the end of it all.

OFAH is top class
best of British comedy
up there with open all hours
all of this type of comedy tends to go the extra mile and get it wrong
the reason Fawlty is a top show is because it only made sixteen episodes and did not fall into the trap of over exploitation of the subject
