I think you're right. Especially if they weren't flying high at the top of The Chumpionship.

Could also be said on the flip side that maybe we could loose some of the "fringe" fans as surely their prices would go down so maybe now in their price range.

Although hopefully we would see an advantage and our attendances would increase.

To be honest I don't think it would help us much if at all if any of the bigger teams went into the championship. It is likely that they would do well there and probably increase their gates as a result.

The only sustained way to improve our gates is to have a team that regularly wins matches, playing attractive or exciting football, however that in a recession could be quite difficult to achieve.

They don't tend to be as obvious as the barcodes. You don't see a lot of replica shirts. But check out all the Puntos and Yarises with their ComeOnBorooooooo stickers. They're ferking everywhere :evil:

The problem is that any of those sides who get relegated will get good attendances if they are at the top of the championship. The fans will want to see a winning team for a change.

Would we all rather see Pools at the bottom of league 1 or the top of league 2? I would sooner see us top of league 2 as would most people

I wouldn't - but I'm a purist in regards to wanting us to be as high as we can get in this league.

I can see Newcastle or Sunderland being in the top 3 of the Championship if they(when) they get relegated but but I feel will struggle, there are some good quality sides who will still be in the Championship next season.

I have a sneaky feeling that both Blunderland and Boro will go down along with WBA but I live in hope that a late run of wins for the Baggies will bring us a treble of Premiership relegations.

In response to the orignal question, I can't see it. Let's be honest, they can't support their hometown team and go to the big three because we aint big enough for their high standards now, so would we want them?
