I think most people in football wanted Luton to win today, me included, a great story after being done for 30 points that they have come out of the season with something.

Credit to them, I hope Scunny's ends are done in and they afford us three points next Monday.

me and Mutley and a coupkle of other Pools lads were in the Luton end on Sunday. Great occasion for them and their support was unbelievable. 40,000 is an incredible number of people for such a final, and for a team going out of the football league. Having said that they are traditionally a club which is - on average -a second tier football league side. For that reason they already have a good fan base, and even dropping into the conference won't change that.

Considering the 30 point deduction I think Mick Harford has done a great job with kids and loanees. I wonder if he fancies coming back to the North East?

in the scheme of things, Luton will always be a better long term proposition than Pools. It's a huge catchment area they've got there - and if Harford was to say who "his" club was it would be Luton. Yes he's a Mackem, but he would put Luton over any team without a doubt, he's been there in the background for years before becoming boss, and is a terrace hero to their fans.
By the way, the best midfielder in all of leagues one and two plays for them - Kevin Nicholls. He was two divisions above the rest of his team mates and one above everyone in a Scunthorpe shirt. What a superb footballer he is - I would give both my arms and legs to have him playing for Pools. He loves Luton though, to the point he left Leeds to go back there, despite Luton's problems.
