Yours truly bearded and decked out in Union Jack vest and shorts "opened
his legs and showed his class" along Seaqton Carew seafront and successfully completed
the 5 mile course in 34:03 (slightly disappointed not to break 34 minutes but hey what's 3 seconds?)

This event is rapidly becoming one of my favourite running events, shame it's not that well
supported by runners and spectators alike, but well done to the event organisers! It certainly
beats the overpriced and over-rated Great North Run and it's not so far to run!

PS Thanks to ElvisAin'tDead for turning out to support EAD looked as fit as...in his Pools cycling gear!
On yer bike son...and get those stabilisers off

RUN FOREST RUN!!

i didn't even know about the run. it would of been good for me for my training for the great north run. 34 minutes is a good solid time in what were probably windy conditions....

Well you could have formed an orderly queue
Or sidled up next to Prince Archie an stroked him!

By the way Archie The Greyhound bottled running it he said 5 mile was
too far for him but he enjoyed watching and made friends with a nice whippet cross

Cheers Jonny, yep there was a strong breeze on the way out along seafront!

May I suggest to enter the Pier To Pier Race (South Shields to Roker) as a
GNR warm up it's approx 7.5 mile on May 17th, very scenic course!
