Joel is off, nothing we can do about it. A mate of mine told me last night that HE had bought his house.

Not heresay , not chinese whisper, he had actually bought it.

He is DEFINITELY leaving. As much as I want him to stay, its a done deal. Again this is no chinese whisper, its from the horses mouth so to speak.

He was outstanding today, it feels almost criminal that he does not have a dcent strike partner to play alongside him, sort of like we are missing a great opportunity.

The club have been very short sighted in not offering him a new contract, by stubbornly waiting until the end of the season before opening negotiations. To get in a half-decent striker will cost £100k minimum even in these financially difficult times, plus the player's wages on top. On that basis the club could have offered Joel £2500 a week for a three year contract, & reduced their outlay.

In his Q&A session, CT said players have contracts until 30 June & if they want a new contract, they have to earn one. I think Joel has done exactly that.

All sorts of rumours fly around. No doubt the summer will be full of sightings of Ken meeting various managers in Asda car park.

I hope Joel will stay.

porter should have been offered a 3 year deal on top wages LAST summer. then again the manager at the time was danny wilson who had the aussie on the bench for the first half of the season while moore and barker played.

had moore not got "homesick" porter probably wouldnt have played much at all.

this is the same manager that had sweeney on the verge of leaving, and had ben clark on the bench for huge chunks of the season while antwi and collins played.

the clueless little tosspiece has now gone to swindon where he inherited a £1 million rated striker and has still turned them into a dull as ditchwater workhorse loaded 0-0 producing machine.

Bar none

Even if:

Porter has decided to leave, Pools should be all over him like a rash, with a huge contract offer, and they should be saying so publicly.

The fact that nothing seems to be in the offing, just makes Pools look like the idiots they are.

Hodcroft and Turner are stupid beyond belief.

Infact I cant believe Hodcroft runs his business, like he runs pools. I find it hard to believe they could make any money. When it comes to players contracts the man is a fookin baboon.
