I don't like to copy threads but Jimmy Giro has posed an interesting question on rivals. Where did you nick into the ground ?

My favourite was always into the dogs then over the town end wall. As a kid, probably about 8 or 9, you could get under the fence at the Rink end.

On the corner currently occupied by the "Corner Flag". There used to be a wire mesh fence, that always seemed to have a convenient flap cut into it. Although I did end up going home with torn trousers on a few occasions.

Not forgetting the hundred kids sitting on the wall above those old sliding doors behind the mill house. It worked on the General Haig theory that if you throw enough bodies at it then some of them have to get through.

my dads mate was onthe gate for years so i hardly ever paid.

rink end wall though near where corner flag is now was always a good un and also walking in the shitty huts in clarence rd when the old stand was up and sneaking in sometimes as well.

i distinctly recall Mr I climbing over wall in town end from the dogs and ripping a jumper on the top which clearly would have cost more than the cover charge

Its not really nicking in, but does anyone remember the 'Junior Blues' scheme Pools used to run for kids? Half price entry came with membership.

Well anyway, my mate was in it, and he used to get in, then go round the gates on the Rink End side before it became an away end, and pass the card to me. The photo on the card was black and white and I sort of looked like him and was never caught. I feel shan about it now though, this was when the club didn't have a pot to piss in.

I'm sure that there was a kid killed "nicking in" at the rink end in a friendly pre season might have been against sunderland? was it early 80's. getting underneath the old concrete slats. or is my memory shot

Corner of Millhouse and Town End, did it once only I think.
It was funny seeing the stewards with poles knocking off all those climbing over the millhouse wall. Mr I was right. They couldnt keep them all out.

The one and only time i nicked in was when we played a pre season friendly, it was meant to be a behind closed doors affair, but me and my brother in law scaled the fence at the Cyril / Town End corner, and joined a handfull of poolies on the terrace who had done likewise!!

Cant remeber who we were playing, but i remember Keith Houchen was boss??? Aberdeen?? Dundee?? I seem to recall it was a Scottish team, may be wrong like

Aberdeen game Mr Bandage - it was forced to played behind closed doors for some reason I can't remember. I knicked in at the corner of the Cyril and the Town End with half a dozen mates.
I've knicked into Orient's ground a few times when they used to have the toilets from the portakabin social club INSIDE the ground!! You basically went for a pint , went for a p!$$ and you were in!! I couldn't believe how many years they had that set-up!!
The bloke on the door would say," You'll come back into the club so you can go back out and pay in properly won't you"?

"Well aye"!!!
