So do you think Pools will make any signings, including extending the deals for players currently on loan with us?

I still reckon that if we don't sign a keeper and a left back then the club isn't doing all that it can to avoid the very real threat of relegation.

Unfortunately I'm not hopeful. sadx

Sunderland have five keepers on their books. Obviously they're not gonna let Gordon or Fulop out on loan but surely one of Darren Ward, Trevor Carson or Nick Colgan would be a cracking short term signing for Pools and give the player some first team football on his doorstep.

Sorry, I thought I'd get it in early

I'll see your "untried kid" and raise you a "Morecambe!!! banghead ". Any improvements on that?

Well there goes that option. At least Turner can finally see we need a left back.

Young City defender Ryan McGivern has signed a new three-year contract with the Club
The 19-year-old left-back was part of last season’s FA Youth Cup-winning side, and earlier this season spent a month with Morecambe on loan.

Ryan’s excellent progress over the last 12 months has also seen him win four caps for the senior Northern Ireland side, and he is now with Nigel Worthington’s squad as they prepare for qualifiers against Poland and Slovenia.

Reserve keeper Tobias Johansen has also put pen to paper on a contract extension that takes him the end of the 2009/10 season.

If he has won 4 caps in the past 12 months for Northern Ireland's senior squad, then he must have summit about him, so i'd take a gamble.

Put in players that want to play for contracts and not the ones just happy to take a wage no matter what their situation (Playing or not) with the club

Nah, Nick Colgan used to play for Barnsley didn't he? And a couple of other Championship/League One sides, he's from round here as well.
