On Friday coming, any Pools team of 2000 to 2005 would relish the prospect of playing at home to a struggling side which hasn't won for ages. We would definitely take three points. The old jinx of giving a team without a win for ages didn't seem to apply to us through those years. Example, Shrewsbury HAD to win to stay in the League, we HAD to win to stay in the title race, the match was no contest and 3-0 to Pools. Friday will tell me an awful lot about where we really are heading as a team. No matter what fight, effort and chasing hard is done by Rochdale I expect 3 points because quality SHOULD tell.
This game is an acid test of the team's ruthlessness, something which we haven't shown for a long time. Even Peterborough away we showed a lack of a ruthless streak at 4-0 up.
No sympathy for Rochdale, put them in the relegation zone and get their manager sacked. That's what I want to see.
Kill 'em all!!!!!!!!! rolf
