That aswell as Porter off back home....Nelson and Monkhouse are also definetly going!!!!

The reason being....they feel like they are left in limbo contract wise so are off!!!!

As much as I love IOR for what they have done for Pools....I just can't get my head round their way of dealing with players contracts....ie.leaving it to the last minute!!!! confised  confised

I'm gutted that Porter is off....but who blames him if they don't/didn't offer him a new contract....months ago....and I'm fuming that Monkhouse isn't sorted!!!!

PS....I hope this person is wrong like!!!! confised

I heard from a reasonably good source before the Fleetwood game that Monkhouse wanted contract talks but was frustrated that they hadn't started yet and he also wasn't satisfied with his current deal. If they still haven't started then I can imagine him being even more frustrated.

I fear for next season.

And why aren't IOR holding contract talks, they're not going to pull the plug are they?

they always say about not doing contract till the end of the season but in certain circumstances they give players new contracts. they did with browny and im sure they did with boydie when he was supposed to be going to norwich a couple of seasons ago. so why not monky whos been one of our most creative plkayers all season

Don't worry Mutley, 99.9% of rumours (especially ones regarding Pools are made up/incorrect)
if they were true our team would be unreal, we would have signed Dimi & boyd on at least 5 seperate occasions, signed Ross McCormack, Tommy Miller and several other championship quality players. Also Nelson, Dimi, Boyd, Porter, Brown, Liddle etc etc would have left for a variety of clubs over several years.
Its also funny how we know more about the players contracts & wages, future signings, future managers, than the players themselves.
People are bored so they make stuff up, it happens all the time.
I heard that we will bring in a foreign manager in the summer. complete bollocks but it passes the time

On what he has done the last 2 seasons, I don't think he does.

Monkhouse has consistently under achieved but is let off by most as he's a crowd favourite.

He was awesome against Leicester and shows glimpses but generally he has been poor.

Agreed he does seem to play when he feels like it, but doesnt a few more in our team. However i still reckon he deserves another deal.
