I do agree that season tickets should be frozen or reduced in the current times, and although people are reducing wadges etc saying that we should do the same to footballers (which I agree with) it will never happen. Also if pools do this we will end up with no players and an even more poor threadbare squad than we have now.

No we wont.

Its not just about admission prices.

They HAVE to be reduced. The club also have to invest in the team.

If they do both, and its a bit of a risk, the liklihood is that we will be challenging. If we are challenging then crowds go up, and people have more disposable income to use on Programmes, pints, burgers, strips etc.

If you honestly think that by just keeping the status quo, and falling for the premier league fans assessment that money rules then we may as well pack up now.

Because we are going to lose fans in the hundreds week on week if something isnt done.

with regard to your point about disposable income for pints programmes etc, surely a reduction of say £5-10 a match is going to make a person buy a programme or a shirt. I agree the prices are high but when I go to match always and mean always buy the same stuff if I have just got paid or on the bones of my backside, ie two pints in the ground and a few before in king johns. Rarely buy programmes and havent bought a shirt since I was about 17, pies are crap and can only drink at most two pints at half time due to space to fit it in.

I know that a bloke may bring his kid but honestly who on here would buy more in the ground if the ticket prices were reduced I think very few

prices should be reduced. £15 for a town end adult would suffice.

try telling that to darlow.

I dont think its the case anymore. A winning team gradually brings in the fans, but it takes time.

If its too expensive we wont bring in enough fans.

And my point about the feel good factor and more disposable income still stands as far as I am concerned.

Too many on this thread seem narrow minded about this subject. Going on about price freezes, incentives etc. As usual the talk about things THEY would like to see. WELL SORRY GUYS, BUT YOU LOT ARE ALREADY FANS AND WILL TURN UP ANYWAY.

The club needs to get more fans in. Not just keep the regulars happy.
