Go get him Loughlin.

Porter owes us 4 big away performances. No excuses.

Chip. I only put what was in the Echo. I wont be going to any away games. I wouldnt waste my breath on them never mind money.

Simple fact of the matter is.....Porter couldnt do it, in a vital game, against the leagues whipping boys. But had the game been at home........................

I dont understand why people are getting to him, granted his away form isnt good but to say that he sint trying or puts any less commitment in away from home is stupid. He has been our best player this season so lets do what we always do and get on his back shall we.

Oh for gods sake chip man.

Can someone, who has been to all pools away games this season, please confirm how many goals Joel Porter has scored in them games.

I've seen Joel score all three of his away goals this season and I've only been 8 or 9 away games!! I should go more often he has a respectable record when I go.

Anyway, no I shouldn't go to more away games as watching Pools away has become soul destroying.

I wouldn't single out individuals we are collectively shite away from home, every single one of the spineless fookers.

I've only missed a handful of away games this season, and in my opinion the whole team has been below par, which will obviously impact on individual players.

I don't think it's fair to single Porter out - there is some sort of collective malaise on the road that has affected them all since we lost at Rochdale.

Porter was poor on Saturday, and he's been poor in a few away games. He still provides the main threat to the opposition though, and given a choice of him v Foley or Mackay it's a no brainer.

Its not about singling out players...............its about when the "chips".....get it..............are down the better players step up to the plate.

As Joel is our best player then he should step up to the plate.

For fooks sake lads we were playing Cheltenham on saturday.............not foookin Manure.

This the Cheltenham that have lost its best players and told the rest they can welcome to the board......and hadnt won since 1893.

We dont seem to have a player good enough to just take the game by the scruff of the neck.

and remember this chip....Joel is my favourite pools player of all time.............but if we go down this season I wont be in the queue clapping him off after his last match. Its the team that comes first. If the team go down the players can rot.

The plain fact is away from home our forwards just dont score.

We have played 19 away games this season, in the league. Our forwards have scored the magnificent sum of 6 goals.

Brown 2
Porter 1
Barker 1
Lange 1
Mackay 1

Of those 6 goals a forward has scored twice (Brown and Lange) to put us in the lead.

Og's away from home stand at 3, which says a lot.

The funny thing is, we've called the defence, called the forwards, but the midfield is the weak link in this team, we lack a brain and a leader in midfield, plenty of half arsed, clueless, headless chicken posturing, but no sign whatsoever of it coming to anything.

W.Boland.

Lots of people forget this guy was the best player on the park at the start of the season and running the team on his own.

Loughlin slags off the player who has been the saviour of this clubs third division status this season but fails to mention his hero who has been diabolical for 90% of the games he's appeared in. No wonder Ritchie Humphreys has no need for toilet paper with Loughlin and Gremmlin around.

Unbiased reporting my arse! Go for the easy target Nick, it'll keep you in the club's good books.

Surely some people going by their reactions haven't actually read the article? Especially Tree- who I suspect doesn't actually read the Echo following comments he's made about the Sports editor before. Mr I- I think it's time to change the record about Humphreys, he's one of many that are underperforming yet you very rarely single out others. Boland played about two and a bit games at the start of the season and did well, he was excellent against Colchester and ok in the others. Last season however, he was total gash.

Some people really are missing the point here. We are desperate for points, and we need our BEST players to step in and do the business.............not disappear.

We were playing against a team that e real striker would have filled his boots against.

Our best player chose that game to play, according to those there(OK CHip?), arguably his poorest least effective game ever for pools.

What has happened so far this season is irrelevent. Its what happens from now on in that matters........and all that matters.

A Saviour with 1 away goal all season.
Brown has 2 and he been out since November
Nelson has 2
Clark has 2 (granted both penalties and granted if Porter had played he may have scored them)

He needs to step up to the plate in the forthcoming matches.

Were you there on Saturday ?????, He looked totally un-interested from about the 5th minute when he slightly lost control and the ball got away from him. He, in my opinion, was definetely one of the players' Turner was referring to when he said certain players' didnt get off the bus.

Now as other posters point out some people on here really need to actual look at the game the player has just played, rather than the name, some may as well post on here, for example ALB had a nightmare, Humphreys was to blame again, etc before the game they are on about is PLAYED, I'm sure some go just so they can have a go at a particular player, regardless of what they do in the 90 minutes.

We all find it hard to critisise Joel, but our need now is greater than our love of the man.

We all love HUFC more than we love Joel....apart from Chip.............and if we dont get the points we need he will be just as culpible as the rest.

Getting 52-53 points is ALL that matters. If we dont, Joel had better scarper quick after the last match, beacuse he wont be getting a round of applause goodbye from me.

Will he fuck! He has done his share of the work with the goals he's scored, after all thats his job. Look elsewhere for your scapegoat.

Oh aye, I'm sure he's consumed with worry that you won't be putting your hands together before he gets on the plane to Sydney.

Oh, and Bob; no service = no goals.

Oh aye. I forgot.

If only we had a better left back we would challenging for the play offs now.

You are only as good as your last game.

So if Porter says.....look lads I have done my bit........its up to you lads now to get the points........you would find that acceptable?

I dont give two fooks about anything else other than getting the points we need for survival. Then we can all thank Joel, as he fooks off, for his great Pools career.

As we will, well 99% of us will, when Humphreys goes. You wont of course.

On Saturdays performance he deserved a slating. I haven't read the article so I don't know whether they talk about carrying an injury or are talking about him generally this season.
But on Saturday he wasn't very good and shrugged his shoulders each time it went wrong as if it was every one elses fault.
