may i place my rose-tinteds on for the following statement.........

the last time we played as poor as we did today (leyton orient) the following 3 matches we got 7 points......lightning may strike twice!!! bbolt

and if it doesnt then i hope it strikes me, so i dont have to watch another relegation, the last one nearly destroyed my soul

Why all the panic?

If we stay up this season, we will finish bottom next season with the same group of players.

Lot's out of contract this season Mr Gaunt.. So let's see if IOR look at Pool's anymore than a play thing close season

I've just been through that predictor thing on the BBC website (took me ages like). On the basis that Pools would only get another 4 points this season we ended up going down, 4th bottom, on goal difference. I was in a very pessimistic mood after yesterdays result but lets hope I'm wrong and we can get more than 4 points during the rest of the season.

Things could always be worse.

We could be in the situation that darlow are in.

Just a thought but unless Darlo's remaining players start picking up a few wins there is still a chance of them going down regardless of them being saved. The one thing that Darlo don't need are the bottom teams picking points up and Bournemouth and Grimsby are doing just that.

As for the the comments from Mr Gaunt, I cannot honestly see many of this current team being here next season relegated or not, a huge clear out is needed and I'm guessing will happen.

there's no way Bournemouth, Grimsby, Barnet and Chester will get to 44 points - also all of the others in between getting them as well. Darlo are already safe for now, it's next season they shoukld be worried

Same as us, probably, that's if WE survive this season.
If we don't I would predict a play-off challenge next season from us in League Two

If we do go down I certainly won't be taking rapid re-promotion for granted. Turnarounds like the one that happened last time are not common occurrences.

Im one of the most optimistic posters, and fan's of Pools, but even I wouldn't bet against that at the moment.
