reading the dead heads thread and the "theres only two andy gorams" what do you think is the best chant ever or the best chant you have heard.

I like to the tune of lets talk about sex by salt n pepper

Lets talk abot cesc baby,
Lets talk about you and me,
Lets talk about william gallas, van peirse and flamini,
Lets talk about cesc

or when coventry fans sang Moroccan all over the world, when had loads of morrocan players but dont know the words.

The best chants aren't those with the best word they're the ones with the distinctive, ponderous beat. They're the ones you hear best.

e.g.,

Milord
Eey-aye-ee-aye-ee-aye-oh up the football league we go
We're on our way to Wembley...

etc.

This is one reason two little boys is a bit of a failure as a chant. It doesn't have that shouty rhythm.

None of them are very funny like, I admit. Image

I hate to say this but perhaps one of the funniest ones that worked as a chant was "Oh Shola Ameobi" to the tune of "Oh Hokey-Cokey cokey".

I always liked:

We drink ex, we drink brown,
We're gonna wreck your fookin' town..'

Ok, a bit direct, and the 'Jack the Rippers me Dad, 'cos they were quintessentially Poolie.

Best night was at Boston, when all the seventies chants came out. clappp

Manure fans about Ji-sung Park...

Park, Park, wherever you may be, you eat dogs in your home country! But it could be worse, you could be a scouse, then you'd eat rats in your council house......

To the tune of Lord of the Dance hymn.

It might be simple, but my favourite is the "Cheerio" chant when opposition supporters start leaving... It must be backed up with a wave though.
