Well it looks like one of the four relegation slots is accounted for. I suppose we should be happy, but its just sad that yet another club is struggling.

My sentiments exactly. Better not take it for granted that they will go down - we must go there next week and win to help ourselves avoid relegation.

At least they seem to be trying all they can to keep out of going into administration, and hopefully asking the Football League for help. Why Darlington didn't ask the league for help makes me wonder Houghton's intentions - maybe they were beyond help.

Again, it's another reminder that we are fortunate to have IOR on-board.

Chris Westwood has returned to Peterborough as one of their central defenders is injured - maybe he'll be playing against us on Saturday.

little or no chance of him coming back to Pools I would have thought - he chose to leave and it was on a free.
Somebody like Adam Boyd is a different scenario - he signed a contract so the club got a fee for him - and the club willingly sold him. He is a different case altogether, also Boyd still has a lot to offer in my opinion
He is much more likely to come back to Pools, especially if Orient go down

Who is this Tony Billing you speak of?

A fictional character from the planet 'arsehole?'

I'd love to know how you can be that disrespectful to someone who served Pools so well.....

Mind that's nothing compared to the diatribe you come out with about some of the current players.

Well, seeing as the club were parading people on the pitch under that banner, some who had played fewer than 50 times for the club, I'd say he qualifies.

Unless legend means "someone who is prepared to turn up"

he played a key role in our best ever (and most successful) team, why wouldn't he be regarded as a legend?

293 games in the best ever pools team is a lot. i'd guess he is in the top 20 all time players in terms of appearances. if this doesnt entitle him to legend status in terms of playing for pools then i dont know what does.

his refusal to celebrate when scoring against us speaks volumes for the bloke.

as i said, anyone who didnt rate him a very good player at league one/two level, really, really is clueless.

Agreed. Prone to the odd costly ricket, but absolutely top drawer when he finally settled into the side after a shaky start.

Westy deserves all the plaudits he gets.... Top Bloke and top player as well.... Always great with the kids and not stuck up like some footballer s are...

Tree, I'm used to u talking out of your arse so I won't comment on what you think.. All I can say is you obviously didn't know the man..

Westy coming out to shake hands with and thank the fans during our promotion "celebration" at Scunthorpe says all you need to know about the bloke.

I'm not 'dissing' Westy for his abilities or anything at all to do with his time at the club or indeed the bloke himself. I am saying that he left on a thin pretext which later proved to be false.
