I just thought i would post something on here that is positive and lift the spirits as no 1 really seems to post much when we win, although when we lose this place goes crazy. Its a shame some people cant praise the lads and management when they do well and only come on here to slate them. 7 points in a week with 2 of them being away games, i am absolutely delighted with that!! Lets keep this up. I am not in any way getting carried away here either but i just feel the players and management deserve praise when we get good results as it doesnt seem to happen on here.

aye it is a shame, the problem is we don't ignore these ridiculously negative posters when we should. replying to them only gives them more incentive to do what they do.

I'm over the moon with the last week!!!
I was very fearful for our survival chances after Orient, but I feel completely different about us staying up now.
The penalty at Swindon has really turned things around

Similar to that burst of 3 consecutive wins last season which dug us out of the danger roughly one year ago

agreed Mr Parmo although we arent quite clear of it yet, it would be crazy to think that we wont get at least another 7 points this season, some very winnable matches around the corner.

And from the noises i have heard from around the club, i think NEXT season might just be a good one...

Agree with all of that. And I too think next season will be a good one. At last the club seem to be learning from the mistakes of this season.

Lets just get them three more wins, and start the preparation for next seasons promotion party.

Brighton, Hereford and Yeovil won't appreciate another postponed game either - next week is another scheduled programme and Pools have no more extra midweek games (other than Easter Monday when everyone plays again)
Whereas the teams below us will have to play Tue - Sat-Tue-Sat-Tue from March 17th more or less to the end of the season. They will be under severe pressure and I believe it will take its toll on them.
We can play our scheduled games and recover during the week, work on things in training etc
After Sat we have 10 games left, Hereford have something like 14 to squeeze in, Brighton have 13 to fit in, and it's not like they're all playing like world beaters at the moment.
They will also be disheartened at seeing a potential team to drag into the mire (i.e. Pools) picking up so many points in such a short space of time

and with the pressure off.... and they've already bagged an away win this week...... I think we can nick a point on Saturday
Pools have always increased their performance levels against the better sides as they know they have to, otherwise the opposition will hammer us!!!
I'm going for a 2-2 draw, maintaining our position as League One's leading home goalscorers for the second season running

Pleased we finally look like putting relegation fears to bed. The the team have done well, despite not playing to the standards we know they can.

That is mostly down to confidence, I think - and the good points return in the last week should help get the confidence going again & hopefully good football back at Victoria Park.

I just wish the town would get behind the club. The low crowds that have helped to cripple Darlington financially should make people realise that Hartlepool United needs them - and the town needs Hartlepool United.

the low crowds at darlo havent crippled the club, the financial idiocy & mis-management have. They shouldn't have tried to live beyond their means

We are not out of the woods yet but I reckon we should be capable of getting the three wins we need at home to Hereford and away at Cheltenham and Crewe. We could also pick up points at Yeovil and a few more home points along the way - although the other home games look like tough ones I must say. I reckon we'll finish on around 55 or 56 points...

I said they helped to cripple the club, not that they are the reason why they went into administration.

If they'd been getting the crowds a promotion chasing team should be getting, they would not be in administration now (though maybe in the future, but the debt may have been more manageable).

But anyway, well done Pools! rolf
