they actually released danny graham on a free transfer and pools offered him a deal, sadly carlisle offered him more money.

we got first refusal on gary liddle on a free and we also got mickey barron off them, probably one of our best ever signings.

you keep hearing about our special relationship with the mags, what do they ever do for us ?

i never listen to the local radio so i cant comment on their attitude, all i will say is that for a town that small to have lasted so long in the prem is remarkable and they produce more good young players than sunderland and newcastle combined.

they must have had 5 homegrowns on there at the end, how many do you ever see playing for the mags ?

That Adam Johnson looks a really good talent! Very skillful young local lad. Most were saying they should have sold Downing for 10Mil+ in January as Johnson is the better player.

I agree with no6bus about the local radio coverage, Its Radio Tees that annoys all of us

Don't like any of the big three. None of them do us any real favours imho.

As for the Boro? Brownlee is a complete nob. He would put me off Pools! Most people who has worked in the Boro or with people from the Boro hate the Boro, I wonder why?

It's not that small either, the town itself is but a catchment area of 500,000* is a fair old size

* (Of which there was approx 265,000 at Pools to see them play Vale when they were locked out of Ayresome Park)

They do though, have a good chairman and as Chip says their policy of promoting local talent is admirable.
