Great result and a much improved performance. We had all the possession in the last 30 mins without creating too much and then the softest penalty in the history of the game won us the 3 points. A raised foot on four foot and 7th choice striker Sir David Foley which was a free kick at best on the edge of the box, the ref gave us everything and i will love him forever for that! A weak penalty from Clarky which the keeper got a hand to. The players were over the moon at the final whistle esp ALB who to be fair was solid throughout and made one good save from Fat Lee Peacock. Swindon were total bobbins and I hope that little dwarf in charge could hear the Wilson Out chants from the sixty odd Pools fans. Nardiello worryingly went off injured stretching for a ball he'd already been flagged offside for, he was ten times the player he was on saturday and caused problems throughout. mackay off with cramp i think. Both did much better. Guy totally anonymous again. sam collins was fantastic again and made one very crucial tackle late on. I still think we should have brought Rowell on but i'm not to complain because we just screwed over Danny Wilson!

Cheers OO the only thing sobering me up right now is that i have to spend the next four hours next to Fetish Bob. Spare a thought for Mad John though- he missed the goal!

Is that the first time Peacock has failed to score against us? Feels like it!

If you don't include the three previous games, then yeah it was!

yeah, just seen the news on the official site about him being out for 6 weeks. bloody typical. sadx

never known a run of injuries like it.

Jesus didn't know that. Haycock didn't want him to come back on and signalled to the bench to sub him, he went back on but you could tell he was goosed. The most frustrating thing is that he didn't need to stretch for it as him and about six others had already been flagged for offside. I think it was the first time he'd been flagged offside before anyone says it! It's strange that he's performed in the 3 away games when there next to fck all people there but had such an indifferent home debut. The lad is seriously quick, probably quicker than Mackay and on what I've seen so far I definitely be looking to keep him long term.

those who criticised him on one game really aren't in a position to do it on the basis of what he's done in every other game - believe me people he had Swindon at sixes and sevens last night before his injury!!!!
His instant control and running at the back four with the ball didn't just relieve the pressure on us it created danger for them, and won us many free kicks in good positions.
He can pick the ball up and make 50-60 yards of ground in seconds - he's that good.
Very very sad to see him out now
